So, I read on here how people talk about Floyd fighting Garcia or Maidana, and before the small Argentine dude matthysse.. For F0cksake those are all 140 pounders!!!!! Floyd is 154, it amazes me people look two divisions lower for possible opponents. What is wrong with you people? The man fights at 154. Floyd is to them what andre ward and carl froch is to him at 168. Yeah he came from that weight, but he has grown and isn't that small anymore. Later on in say for example. Hopkins, Jones, or Toney's career, when they moved up in weight, would u have them fighting middleweights again? Look I don't know how, the mass's perception skims over his real opponents, but they aren't ****in 140 pounders. He has fighters in his actual division, for starters, Lara, and both martinez and GGG said they would go to 154 to fight him. This is some bull****. He has 5 opponents that should come before anyone else in his weight class. Martinez, GGG, Lara, Trout, and pacquaio even tho hes not in the weightclass we all know that fight is legit. Why on earth people actually think that slow ass basic fighter garcia or the guy who gets outboxed by a flabby ass morales can beat him, god only knows.
It is pretty much a law of the internet that if someone has master/genius/pro/expert in their username, they're almost always a total retard.
It is pretty much a law In boxing that the geniuses are almost always retards. Think of it like an idiot savant.

What people seem to forget is that Mayweather is 37 years old, past his prime, whether we like it or not.
He stated in more than one occasion that he won't be involved in fights that he should have never taken (he mentioned Ali as an example of a fighter who went too far).
I find that Golovkin is out of the question, Lara would be a very difficult fight , the high risk low reward kind of fight. yet, from a boxing point of view that's imo the best / more challenging fight.
Apart from that, I think it's time to finally have Mayweather- Pacquiao, although they are both past their primes, especially Pac, due to his less conservative style.
Maidana and Khan are both pointless fights I find, at 147 (apart from Pac) I'd rather see him fight a Bradley or a Danny Garcia.
Ali is a bad example (he had parkinsons while fighting) and fought far beyond his best years, but Floyd is at the peak of his abilities, when you are the no1 you are at the top of your game, and whether he is past his prime is all subjective, your as good as your last fight.
Floyd can stop whenever he wants but he hasn't done anything, any boxer hasn't done before him, so if he is thinking legacy you will have to take fights you aren't neccesarily comfortable with. Look at BH talkinga about Kovalev and he is every bit as dangerous as GGG
I agree Floyd should stop bloating non p4p fighters up the divisions, and Floyd should use his initiative and bloat himself up a bit.
Bloating up fighters is him just padding out his resume with recognisable names. But his resume is padded out enough now, he needs to think legacy considering its his last fights now.

I suspect the Mayweather card will have an intriguing match-up on his undercard. So I suspect it'll be...
Floyd Mayweather vs. Amir Khan
Shawn Porter vs. Keith Thurman
Erislandy Lara vs. Ishe Smith
Badou Jack vs. James DeGale
I rather see Mayweather fight Maidana though and then have the undercard match be Amir Khan vs. Lucas Matthysse at 140lbs.

Floyd weighs 150-151 on fight night.
Hopkins, Toney and Jones did NOT weigh 170-171 when they were fighting at 175.
STFU stupid troll.

great post
Floyd can't make 140 or 154. Why? He's a 147 fighter. It's not hard people. Really it's not. Floyd's best weight was 130-135. He can't make 140 anymore without draining himself so he fights at 147 where guys that fight there already outweigh him. Let alone when he moves up to 154 and attempts to make more than 151.
It's funny how people love to discredit Hoya, Cotto and Alvarez when it suits their agenda but when trying to make Floyd sound like a monster, people switch it up to Floyd just killed these super ATG JMW's so he shouldn't be allowed back at WW..
At the end of the day kiddies, Floyd's best weight is at 147. We get, some "fans" are so damn pissed because he's much like Mosley was for Pac, "too good". However he will stay at WW and there is nothing really anyone can do about it. Unless of course someone at JMW builds star power like Hoya, Cotto and Alvarez has done.

Hahahahahahahaha,,, so true, best line I ever read on nsb
So you want Floyd to go to 160 to test your theory, at that weight clashes would be giving up 20-25lbs fight night for what he doesn't need to put himself at such a disadvantage to be considered TBE!
No I want him to stay at 154 and have him face the people that are willing to fight him. He doesn't need to go up in weight to fight them, they will come down to him.
floyd is basically a 150lb fighter...thats what he walks around at and usually weights when he fights at 154 on fight night.....so hes tied to 147 and 154....its not that hard for those 140lbs to realistically come up to 147....its not out of the question......trout is out the window.....GGG, lara, and martinez are viable.....but really...GGG has nothing on his resume to suggest he should get the payday or the fight....hes simply wishful thinking by those tantalized to see it....martinez would get beat....lara would be interesting...but has no fan base......
What was on Guerrero and Ortiz and Marquez and Hat tons resume?

True he is that good, thats why he actually needs to challenge himself and give the people paying him (viewers) a fight worth watching that wont be a shut out.
ok, i get that, but floyd shouldnt have to go up and chase monsters at the higher weight classes like ggg, serg, lara, etc....
Its like having wlad fight a bear or lion, just because he has handled all the heavy contenders
1. Floyd isnt a 154 fighter,, he goes there and cant even break past 151 let alone near the weight limit..
2. he only goes to 154 for huge names like oscar, cotto, canelo,,, Lara, GGG, and even serg dont command a fan base big enough to make the fight worth the risk
3. Floyd is a welter and should fight welters or guys near there,,, Garcia, bradley, manny, maidana, etc
4. Its not floyd's fault he is so much better than anyone in his weight class,,, Its the same with the klitchkos.. You cant penalize a guy just because he clearly better than anyone around,,,
True he is that good, thats why he actually needs to challenge himself and give the people paying him (viewers) a fight worth watching that wont be a shut out.
if it were that bad then 95% of the guys in boxing wouldnt be trying to do it. They pretty much all try to get low in weight to have the advantage and alot of guys try to get really low like Rios. So big that they pound you in the ground. Shoot, Canelo & Trout were 173 & 172 when they fought eachother. Meeting these guys in person compared to Floyd is night & day physically. Now go meet Floyd & Garcia and tell me what you think. Garcia is bigger
Sure he might be bigger in some ways, but who knows about the density to his muscles? Maybe with floyds body type, draining himself wouldn't be as effective. since he does not try to simply over power his opponents. Like Floyd says its not a weight lifting comp it is boxing. Maybe those other people, just don't have the discipline or genetics to walk around at their fight weight. Maybe if you can actually do that your body is actually stronger for that weight? Maybe hes actually winning and not being overpowered so they don't have that big of an advantage.
you guys are using the fact that he weighs 150 on fight to negate the fact he is the light middleweight champion and that the light welterweight champion is not a viable opponent. Is he 150 and fighting at 140? no. He is 150 and ****in nigz up at 154. In fact hes the mothaf0ckin champ and 154. Bein the champ and titz at 54, should he not accept all challengers at that weight? Or should he use the fact that he is rlly 150 so he shouldn't have to, and then fight guys that fight at 140 instead? Listen I don't care if you weigh in 25 more pounds on fight night cuz hey guess what, they each have some pros and cons.. you think draining 15 pounds doesn't take anything out of a fighter, as appose to a fighter who is naturally at that weight? There is two opinions on the matter of cutting weight. The fact is Garcia is fighting at 140 and not 154. Why? cuz his ass will get ****ed up if he goes up higher. Floyd is at 154 cut the bull**** about cutting weight. If you can make weight your good, you had to make the sacrifice to lose the weight and drain your body that way. So for those saying it would be fair for him to take on the people who are more natural 154 pounders as appose to those who have drain themselves to make weight.. f0ck outa here with that nonsense. The man is the 154 champ, there are 5 ppl I mentioned who would give him a much, much better fight than ****ty ass danny garcia and beaten by flab miadana.
