TYSON FURY has set his sights on a world title shot as he prepares to return to the ring for the first time in almost a year.
The unbeaten heavyweight will be in action at London’s Copper Box Arena on February 15 – his first fight since last March.

Fury is an entertainer for sure and he is huge, but thats pretty much it. Wlad will wobble him with the first stiff jab he lands and KO will follow with the first right hand that connects. Naturally anything can happen in a HW fight but this would be my guess.. might be fun while it lasts so please make it happen.
regardless of what haters think, Fury is a legitimate danger to Wlad K. Fury has a solid inside game, a high work rate, proven stamina and the height, weight and reach that would neutralize Klitschko's leaning. Fury is also unpredictable and has an unorthodox style... ALL of these combined attributes are a nightmare for team Klitschko. Remember, styles make fights.
yeah bro I can get with you on all those points as I am a Fury believer myself, i love his style for a HW...but there is a massive gap in experience that Wlad enjoys... of late, the povetkin fight notwithstanding, he can basically win fights in his sleep right now. Hell we all go to sleep..him, the viewer, and usually the opponent. I think the Povetkin fight proves that it will take a hell of a lot to get Wlad off his game and what he wants to do , regardless of style or referee.
So I just look at Tyson at a good starting point, if he win the next 3 then he will be in the mix with these newer faces, as well as being in line for Wlad
Fury is a good fighter considering today's heavyweight scene. He also has a controversial personality which keeps things interesting. I dont know why ppl call him a bum? like hes beaten some solid opposition. I do think he ducked Price, which was shameful, but other than that hes pretty good. If anything hes better than Arreola.
I agree with most but not sure if fury better than arreola,, I think them, stiverne, pulev are all in the same league,, then you have chisora, adamek, thompson,

well ask yourself this then smart guy...is Wlad giving a shot to Pulev?...It wouldn't have mattered if Fury fought (and beat) Pulev. Wlad cherry picks the easiest opponents. This is actually a compliment to Fury.
If Wlad is cherry picking what would you say Fury is doing?
Fury was smart to take the fight with haye, who could have foreseen the jack...

Not a big fan of Fury, but I will not call him a bum. At least he is trying, and keeps stirring things up in the division. Cats like Wilder ranked 3rd without a top ten fight? Being mentioned and the guy doesn't call anyone out at all - if you go back as far as the 80's with what fighters had to go through to break the top 15 - the murderers you had to face in eliminators to get your shot , then the level the champions where on - you had to really be able to fight - the last great champion was Lennox Lewis - no real disrespect to the K bros, but lennox fought Vitality with a 2 weeks notice - he was scheduled to fight kirk johnson, but johnson pulled out with 2 weeks left and HBO paid Lenox more $ to fight Vitali, that is why Vitali was doing so good with him because johnson was like 6 foot 1 or 2 and vitali is 6 foot 7 - no time to truly prepare for a guy that big - but yet no one even speaks about this - this is one of the main reasons why cats like hopefuls stuck around for solo long besides their financial situations
You can look great v any 3 bums, and for this to be a legit huge fight in the entire sport, Fury would need to win against at least 2 top contenders or hyped fighters at least, in those 3 fights...to be fair I think he should have stayed active in the meantime, i'm sure they could have organised a replacement tuneup after the Haye's pull-outs. If Fury could beat Pulev and Wilder for example then this would be a big fight but I think Fury will fight fringe contenders at best, just to keep the undefeated record and give his title shot any basis. :boxing:
Are you new to boxing,, lol,,,
I totally agree with what your saying but in terms of getting the public excited, all you need to do is look good in one fight, and not even a top guy,,,
Case in point,,, cotto beats rodriguez, now he is getting serg,,, Roy jones looked good vs tito, landed the calzaghe fight on ppv, guys get shots at floyd for looking good vs berto, etc
In regards of fury,, there isnt much highly ranked heavys anymore with no vitali, no haye, povetkin is regrouping,, that really only leaves pulev,
If fury can come out and stop 3 bums, or 2 bums and beat chisora again, all the hype will be on fury, and wlad really has no big name, $$$ bringing, opponents ATM besides fury
Fury beat Cunningham...
regardless of the lame "cruiserweight" dismissal. Cunningham was still a 2x world champion and a proven technician (and a HEAVYWEIGHT, just like James Toney, Adamek, Holyfield, Haye etc etc)...and remember, Fury beat Johnson (the same guy who took Vitali the distance)...oh, and Johnson is the same guy who handed a TKO to Wlad's next "world class" opponent...yes, Fury BEAT that Johnson.

I'm hoping to see Wladimir fight Fury, after he gets his two mandatories Leapai and Pulev out of the way.
Hoping the same. Leapai, Pulev and Fury all this year would be great.
I'm sure Wlad is absolutely terrified of the stiff bum. Fury is absolutely no threat to Wlad. 1-punch KO power? Nope. Granite chin? Nope. Effective pressure? Nope. Fury gets ko'd faster than ray Austin.
Absolutely spot on and accurate.
These next 3 fights are crucial because if fury looks good in them, then wlad-fury becomes one of the biggest fights in the sport,,, But fury will need excellent match making to look great 3 times in a row,,,
Maybe they could give him 12 fights he promised us this year, one a month.that month twelve cruisers moved up in weight,o wait,he already failed to impress against cruiserUSS Cunningham already, doh.

Charr was ready able and willing to step in,twice !
Fury has been managed about as carefully as Wilder, yet still found himself on the canvass multiple times.he is about as much threat to Wlad as Pee Wee Herman was to Hulk Hogan.
