How do you think Mikey Garcia would do against the other 130 pound beltholders, Takashi Miura, Rances Barthelemy, and Takashi Uchiyama? This is assuming he gets past Burgos.
You think he's close to 140? I'm not sure if he's at that point yet. I wasn't under the impression he was struggling with 130. I imagine he'll make a stop at lightweight for Gamboa if nothing else. Garcia strikes me as the kind of guy who wants to fight the best, hence his desire to unify. What do you think there is for him at 135? Obviously, because of this promotional nonsense, he can't fight Danny Garcia at 140.
Unifying doesn't exactly mean you are fighting the best. Not every titlist is actually good. 130-135 has some really weak titlist. In the 2 divisions I only see Garcia, Vazquez and Abril as actual good title holders. The rest are meh.
He may unify titles with Rances Barthelemy that's if Barthelemy gets to keep his IBF title but I do not see him unifying the other 2 titles. He'll move up in weight. Better competition at 135lbs and 140lbs.
Tito was a destruction machine, much bigger, stronger, faster, better skilled and with more caramel in his tone.
Garcia doesn't even come close, he is so far behind Tito at a similar stage in every aspect that when you compare the two it makes me think your mama was a meth addict when you were still in her womb
Yeah, they're nothing alike.
Trinidad's an aggressive fighter who brings the fight to you and break you down to the body and head.
Mikey's more of a conventional technical boxer and counter puncher.
Barthelemy should be easy, Usmanee already gave Mikey the blueprint for that fight. Miura might give Mikey a test but I say Mikey comes through with a stoppage. Uchiyama is no joke, from what I've seen of him I might even favor him over Garcia. Garcia-Uchiyama is on my short list for fights that should happen in 2014. But Mikey is already talking about fighting Gamboa, f*cking Bob Arum at it again. The Barthelemy that fought usmanee is not the same the fought mendez, if that fight happens you got a bet, a 5'11" boxer that can bang or box from the outside, I'll love to see this fight...
I personally have a hard time seeing Gamboa beating Garcia. Gamboa leaves himself very open when he attacks. Against a power punching counterpuncher like Garcia, that is a bad idea. Not to mention Gamboa seems to be contractually obligated to get knocked down once a fight, which will hurt him on the scorecards should it go to a decision. Gamboa is fast, but I think Garcia is better.

I think they're grooming Mikey as the guy who will eventually retire Pacquiao.
130 is his, 135 looks likely. 140 is where it'll get interesting. He reminds me of Tito. I expect he'll be around on the p4p lists for a while
He reminds you of Tito? LOL
GTFO you're drunk

Mikey ain't unifying ****, not because he can't beat these guys but because these fights will never get made.
I think Uchiyama beats all the champions but he ain't unifying **** either.

I think he can do it,,, i would favor him over all the other champs,,
Uchiyama would be the toughest IMO, but i see no reason why garcia couldnt beat him
130 has been a migratory division historically. it will likely only serve as a staging point for his bigger fights down the road. you're 4 lbs from 126, and 5 from LW. that's just not that much weight for a guy who has a big frame and power. expect mikey to head to 135 and even 140 in the future, and make some real money. even at 130 lbs, garcia cuts a ton of weight. he is not a small guy.
He destroys everyone 135 and under. Too much skill and too sharp of a Ring IQ for all them. Just the way I see it
Terrence Crawford beats him in to submission!!! Easy Work !!! :boxing:
1 Fighter will give mikey the fight!
----U-CHI-YA-MA----- , If this fight Happens I'll go with Uchi, taking on all bets as much as I can accomordat :boxing:
dude outweights and got size advantage against anyone. needs to stop draining to fight little guys. imho, way overrated and will get exposed soon. hopefully sooner than later.

You make a valid point. He is usually bigger than all the guys he fights...
