I think we can say Amir Khan is out. If he is not he should be. Not only does the boxing public not want this but even Lampley show the fight game said it bombed on twitter. The fight will do well in the UK but I think Show time is taking huge risk if they proceed with this fight. I think Floyd wanted the fight bad but the public isn't excepting it.
Why do people expect an announcement 6+ months before the fight? It's Jan now so the it'll come next month as per usual timing. It sucks but this is the fight that'll happen.
A Khan fight would seriously damage the good will Mayweather and Showtime have built up over the past year. It would be seen as a shameless money grab. It would also be bad for the sport, as it would not reward those who actually fight and deserve a Mayweather fight. Besides, Shawn Porter has a stronger case for deserving the fight than Khan. He did better against Julio Diaz and beat Devon Alexander. I will find it hard to believe if Mayweather does fight Khan. It totally goes against his pattern of fighting fighters coming off of significant wins.
come on? significant wins over andre berto maybe
I don't know if it is a done deal, but there is a bias in the press reports I've seen that suggests something like that. For example, this ESPN report about Floyd's press conference in South Africa points that "Mayweather named Britain's Amir Khan as a possible opponent for his next fight" and doesn't even mention Maidana, whom Floyd also named (which is pretty questionable from a press ethics point of view, I'd say).
Considering he weighed in for that fight at 146 it's safe to say he can make 147, Roger might have a few words for you.
Yea I know.
"You dont know **** about boxing." lol

People say this, yet I've seen many UK posters on this site talk about how Khan isn't liked in the UK. They would love to have Floyd come over for a fight, because he's a huge star there, but no one likes Khan.
So based on them, I'm not sure this fight does that well with that audience either unless the fight is held in England.
He has a lot of people who dislike him he's also got a pretty big fanbase. Not a Hatton type of fan base but a big one.
He's a star here, our biggest. Only guys close are Haye and Froch but I don't think they're as big a star as Khan is here.
The fight would definitely do good business over here.
Don't think it will in America though and that's what's important to them it seems.
its happening. Maidana getting screwed sealed it. Its not about the American PPVs its the UK that will eat this shiiit up for Khan.

Hopefully Floyd fights Manny and Maidana, and Amir Prescott never gets his shot.
Amir Prescott? So Khan's best wins (Kotelnik, Maidana, Paulie) were too long ago to matter, but the Prescott loss wasn't? Classic hater logic right there.
Floyd is a full fledge WW. He couldn't make 147 vs Marquez he can fight at catch weights or 154.

Why did you make your OP, you have more news on it or just talking?
he was never the opponent, Haters were hoping he was though
He even said it was between Khan and Maidana.... and baby bro just activated his rematch clause..... I wonder what that means
