So would Sanchez be willing to put Golovkin in the ring with Ward if he is successful against Adama?
"Physically and technically and mentally? Yes," said Sanchez. "But this is a business, and because this is a business, then, financially, no, we're not ready for that. I would like for Golovkin to be on a par with Andre Ward as far as what he has done in his division so that when it comes to a fight, we're not as an opponent. We want to be move up after destroying every fighter who wants to fight us at 160 so that we can be on a par with Andre Ward, but we haven't done that yet. I think that that would be a little unfair for Golovkin to take a secondary position to a guy that we feel that our fighter is just as good as.
"But Golovkin has to prove it against his peers in the 160-pound division, and we haven't been allowed to do that yet. We're not going to take a second seat to Andre Ward. We have the best fighter in the world, at least we think that we do ... not going to dictate terms to the Golovkin team. That's why I think that it's unfair for Golovkin to be asked to move up at this point, not because he's not ready physically, mentally or technically, because I think that he beats Andre anyway. But I don't want to be at a point where we're not on a par, business-wise."

ward is the one avoiding GGG, no one wants GGG. sturm, geale, quillin, martinez, and murray all rejected to fight him as well. stevens called him out and well we all know what happened
How is Ward ducking him when they aren't even in the same division?
I swear down, NSB is full of retards
Funny how times change. Broner or Mayweather "I want to see these guys challenge themselves." With GGG it's OK to avoid threats. GGG is already bringing in 1.5 million views on HBO. He has the leverage to at least be on par with Ward. His next fight should be headlining a HBO PPV. But does that happen? Hell no. Instead he goes overseas to face some no name bum that HBO's not even covering. How does that get you on par with Ward?
Lets see if theeveryday posters here on NSB go at GGG for this the way they do other fighters.
On a side note, 2014 has been fun for me so far. KKKKovalev and Getting Guap Gennady!
Lets see if the usual suspects criticize and hate them for this. I mean thats why they said they hated broner and floyd-racism and business.
No one has more nutt huggers than GGG. He can do no wrong

Already making excuses not to fight wardward is the one avoiding GGG, no one wants GGG. sturm, geale, quillin, martinez, and murray all rejected to fight him as well. stevens called him out and well we all know what happened
"Unlike with Martinez in which I'll be a huge favorite, Ward is a fight that I'll likely lose so I need to be compensated well. I'll fight anyone in the 168 pound division except Ward. Edwin Rodriguez yes, but not Ward."
Fair enough.
in other words he needs to properly establish himself as the king of middleweight first. that's fair enough i think.
I don't think so. I think he would have to establish himself as a SMW cause that's where he would be fighting Ward.
I would imagine venue, referee and financial split would be issues of contention. At this point Ward could dictate all those, whereas in a year's time Golovkin could be in the driving seat.
The way his popularity is growing, I'd say so.
Did you actually read dude? He didn't say anything about building up a fight. He said they don't wanna be the 'opponent' when it comes to negotiating. In other words, they wanna be the A side or as equal by the time they sit down to talk. It seemed to me they were talking about titles and having some leverage.

Is HBO supposed to pay both fighters at least 2 million dollars each? 4 million dollars for just a single fight? That's never going to happen.
It's even worst than this because is Ward going to accept the same purse to fight Golovkin as he got for fighting Rodriguez?
Lol they know they will lose. How come GGG can wait to build a fight but if anyone else does it they are ducking?

Of course, because that's the only excuse they can use... financial reasons. Thing is none of these top foghters are willing to grab their balls and stop being sissies so how are we supposed to get to that financial level? Sissies!!
I've already said before GGG might want it but HBO and his team will keep him clear of Ward.
HBO definitely should, they risking killing a potential PPV cash cow at the altar of a guy with a limited fanbase.
From a fan perspective, I think it would be interesting to see this fight but Golovkin v Martinez should really come first.
