I could make a legitimate case for him as the MOST difficult fighter to outbox that's ever been in a boxing ring more than you can make otherwise from his boxing career... his numbers... the complete domination of ALL opposition & most importantly his size & physical dimensions that sees to it that he gets off his punches more than his opponent... There's a reason the ref or the doctor didn't stop it while action was commencing & that is because Vitali was competing despite all those cuts on his face. This means while the fight was taking place Vitali was in no way losing.. even throwing & landing more overall punches in the final rd.. so let's cut the bs so to speak.. Lennox just won on a technicality. Vitali was willing & able to continue regardless of the cuts. Vitali lost the final round and was stumbling around like a drunk towards the end desperate to hold. He was tired, eating massive shots and had a gaping hole on his eyebrow. The tables had turned in Lewis's favour. The Dr who is more qualified than Vitali and you on injuries said he was unfit to continue. TKO 6.

He beat Peter.. without a tuneup 4 years out of the game.. has ANY fighter ever won a title straight out of retirement in this manner) Ali couldn't even beat Frazier WITH a tuneup bout. Corrie Sanders just destroyed an alltime great a bout earlier.. so did Danny Williams.. Peter also Knocked down an alltime great 3 times same as Sanders did.. what did Vitali DO to these fighters you ALL like to poke fun of? He completely creamed them. Wladimir Klitschko & Mike Tyson were in all kinds of trouble vs these so called laughable opponents right before they faced Vitali. Oh yeah baby!!! Ask yourself this... head to head what is more likely to occur even both Lewis & Klistchko ONLY have two defeats? Lewis is MORE likely to get his chin checked than Vitali is to getting cut or his shoulder giving out.. because simply put getting dropped by a punch occurs MORE in a boxing bout than having what occurred to Vitali.. therefore he'd get the nod in a head to head bout especially when he thoroughly outboxed Lennox in a real fight.
