They have over a billion people yet i dont remember ever seeing an Indian boxer. China is finally getting started, will India ever enter the boxing world?
Kinda odd that a country with so many people hasnt had someone make it in the boxing world.
India not being big in boxing isn’t about talent, it’s about infrastructure and support. You can’t expect results without systems in place. Same in any field, structure matters more than hype. That’s why I like platforms that actually explain things properly. I’ve been checking a crash game site in India covering chicken road 2 gameplay, strategies, demo mode and payment methods like UPI. It’s not just play, it’s understanding how things work, which is what really makes a difference long term.
khan vs floyd should be in india not UK.
Khan can sell millions heck billions.
"Indians will pay to see me lose"
You do realise Khan is not Indian and would probably be hated there....right?
wow the ignorance on these types of threads LOL
From what I learned, India is one of the few if any true lasting ancient civilizations. With the boys that are raised in an aristocratic community the few that learn the life of priesthood still study in Sanskrit. Indians, to my knowledge, highly regard education to further their success.
How many boxing gyms are in India anyways?
boxing or pro boxing?
don't people on here watch any amateur boxing?
obviously not given the indians are pretty damn good at that
regards coaches and trainers, well yeah they only have a group of cubans running things over there for them...
(well i dunno they do RIGHT NOW but for a long time they have done)

You are right, they were making some progress, which was a good sign.
But as i understand it the Indian government has suspended boxing altogether, not sure why, but i remember reading this earlier in the year
The more countries that embrace boxing the better for the sport, to think their is another Pacman in some village somewhere looking for a way out
Indians, Pakistani's etc suck at combat sports.
In the same way that white men can't jump, Indians can't fight
(Some can, but in general terms, they suck)
East Indians defeated the Persian army tho.
Some odd comments about cricket.....any guy who can throw a hard ball at me at 95mph and get it to hit me in the head is an athlete who needs to be respected. Michael Holding, Dennis Lillee, Malcolm Marshall and Allan Donald were not guys to be pissed around with.....if you did, you took your teeth and ribs home in a carrier bag. Serous dudes with bad intentions and they did not spend their time enjoying a nice cup of tea.

It's not just boxing, I don't ever recall a sports that the people in India was involved in?? I mean if u look at all the other countries even the poor countries u will see that their people is into some type of sports whether it's soccer or something else.
From my understanding Indian government has currently banned boxing
Here in the UK we have a Boxing Gym in just about every town in some towns 2 or 3...
in a country like India they dont have such privileges
Facilities are important, as well as coaches and trainers with knowledge of the sport.

why would indians be so excited to see someone british of pakistani descent or an african american, neither of whom i imagine has ever been to india, a country which apparently has no real interest in pro boxing
maybe they'd want to see khan lose but then you could hold a fight in the north pole and people would wanna see khan lose
From my understanding Indian government has currently banned boxing
There is ur answer
India has given us yoga and various forms of martial arts, so they indeed have a fighting history, just not in terms of sport.

Boxing can only flourish if facilities are available and the right info is given to people interested in the sport and it also helps if the government arent making hell for the sport.
Every country on the planet has a special somebody, its a matter of that special somebody getting in to boxing
There are a lot of young, hungry Indian Pacquiaos waiting to happen
absolutely. i mean its not like Indians are small and weak.
I went to school with a lot of big ass indians.
If i was a promoter id stage some fights there and open up a boxing club. Fighting is innate, its universal, and its in everyone. I cant believe none of the big promoters have tried to set up some kind of boxing club and get first dibs on developing talent.
absolutely. they have a lot of poor people. they could use some boxing. they can be rich and famous overnight.
Bob Arum needs to go there next or golden boy needs to beat them out there since arum beat them out in china already.
India is the next cash cow/untapped market.
