Provodonikov by KO I think, I don't see an ounce of quit in Ruslan but then again same said for Maidana but the difference is Maidana has went down several times before and he has looked very hurt...
Perhaps those days could be behind him and he is a much better fighter but I feel when Ruslan hurts him he just wont let up and the style that Maidana fights with that wont help him one bit, no backward steps in this fight I don't think.
Provodnikov is more ruthless and I give him the edge in punching power compared to Maidana. Provodnikov should win but you never know. Any fighter can be beat any given day but if Provodnikov has the edge in my book.
50-50 fight but I'd venture Provodnikov via body attack. Could just as easily be Maidana with a concussive headshot. One thing's for certain though, it doesn't go the distance.
Actually, I don't neccessarily agree with it certainly not going the distance, we have seen fights before where we have thought "no way it goes the distance", someone is 100% getting knocked out etc" - hell, Matthysse v Garcia was a recent one...we never know what could happen, maybe swelling or cuts, injuries, anything else but I think it can't be ruled out that it MIGHT go 12 rounds, what IS certain though is that if it did, the 2 of them would be pretty much ruined! :boxing:

tough fight, if maidana somehow survives the early onslaught he has a chance, but it's gonna be hell with how fragile he is against the vicious body + head power provo holds
favoring provo at the moment
This is very hard to call, tough fight...Maidana has made it pretty clear that you can't stand in front of him and for the most part thats pretty much where Provodnikov would be.
I can't call this one, would love to see it though, part of me thinks Maidana would take it but I don't know.
50/50 I guess...
Has Rustland ever been down? If not, I'd favor him slightly. I know it doesn't mean much but still.

I'd favour Ruslan but I think the fight would be brutal, either one or both of the fighters would be ruined if it went 12 rounds but I have a feeling either one COULD force a stoppage or a RTD, would really depend on the ebbs and flows within the fight - hard to definitively predict. :boxing:
It would likely come down to who landed the first shot the other guy couldn't take. That's so incredibly hard to predict.
I'm going to give Maidana the benefit of the doubt and say he wins, but I honestly don't have a clue who should be favored here.
Ruslan. Especially if his chin is sturdy enough. Chino's soft body would just get ruined by Provodnikov's stellar body work.

maidana has proven time and again that you can't go toe to toe with him and expect anything good to come out of it. even if you have him hurt he gets stronger. and he has way more experience as well. ruslan is a beast himself though. 50/50
