In this video Floyd Sr offers his training services to Broner where he plans to pay close attention to Broner's heavily-hyped yet functionally ineffective defense.
It seems like a natural choice of trainer of course since Broner styled himself on Floyd Jr who was taught his fundamental skills by his father, Floyd Sr.
he's trained dawson for a couple of fights and trained hatton for the paulie match before he faced pacquiao...it didn't improve their focus in regards to listening to Sr's instructions
judging by broner's personality neither will his
That is a distinct possibility I agree. But I think Broner does need a change of trainer, he wasn't listening to Stafford at all to the point Stafford had to tell him repeatedly "you're not listening".
Either Broner will hold Sr in the same high regard he holds Jr, and be submissive to his training demands and techniques, knowing it will improve him. Or, the egos clash and the partnership crumbles quickly..
Towards the end of the video Sr says he needs two fights to get Broner accustomed to the techniques and the third fight is when the rematch should happen. So he's taking about 3 training camps leading up to the rematch - possibly having Broner for around a year under his instruction prior to the rematch.

not entirely true, Sr paired up very well with de la hoya, jeff mayweather was also effective when working with caballero though not to the extent of the previously mentioned
they don't do well with young fighters though, and that's mostly because they tend to ignore the mayweathers' instructions when they find themselves in deep waters (example: hatton, agbeko, dawson)
Sr won't do much for broner in a maidana rematch because maidana will surely take him out of his comfort zone again early on

When will people learn that the Mayweathers are terrible trainers? Floyd is the only fighter they've ever done anything with and that is because Floyd is a genius, he is better than them in ability and mentally. Broner also not nowhere near Floyds level, he gets hit entirely too much and his shoulder roll is really nothing like Floyds. All he does really is drop his hands down and pull his head back, he then sits in the ropes but doesn't slip, block, lean over, counter or roll with the punches. He does the same thing and pulls his head back and really only puts his punches together when he is coming forward. He likes to punch, that instantly makes him the opposite of Floyd.

Lol at Snr begging for a job, he was only dissing Boner a short time ago!:lol1:
Right because Snr needs money... you're clown.
He was criticizing Broner and there's nothing wrong with that because everything he said was true about Broner.
Even training with Sr, it will take Broner at least two years and a half for him to become good at using footwork and head movement to evade and counter. Also broner has to want to change his style and train his ass off for hours solely on defense if he wants to become as skilled as mayweather.
First thing he said post fight was immediate rematch lol
Bro, he didnt seem to know his name or what planet he was in either so I wouldnt take that too seriously... :D
