I'm not a fan of Broner - but...

He's obviously a man who's suffering from the lack of dedication to his craft. He showed glimpses last night of why some people regarded him so highly, however, those glimpses aren't enough to beat a dedicated, warrior like Maidana. I believe Broner thought any version of himself could show up and beat Maidana, though, everybody could see after his fight with Mallignaggi that wasn't going to happen. Broner needs to get rid of his 'team', social media, world star, and hip-hop groupies and dedicate himself to his craft before the final bell sounds on his career. He gets seriously out of shape between fights when he should be in the gym working on his once decent footwork and combination punching instead of all those drink/drug laden Lil Wayne concert appearances. Broner has talent, but zero dedication. He needs to drop back to 140 and seriously concentrate on his ring craft otherwise his talent is going to go to waste - much like Ricky Hatton. This is coming from a person who wanted to see Maidana brutalise Broner because of his arrogance and entitled attitude. You get nothing for free in boxing... he knows that now I'm sure. Still, he's a talented individual, and I don't like to see them fall off the map because they fall for their own hype. Hopefully he begins to take his career seriously, because it's his only shot in life and the money he has now isn't going to last forever.
