He's obviously a man who's suffering from the lack of dedication to his craft.
He showed glimpses last night of why some people regarded him so highly, however, those glimpses aren't enough to beat a dedicated, warrior like Maidana.
I believe Broner thought any version of himself could show up and beat Maidana, though, everybody could see after his fight with Mallignaggi that wasn't going to happen.
Broner needs to get rid of his 'team', social media, world star, and hip-hop groupies and dedicate himself to his craft before the final bell sounds on his career.
He gets seriously out of shape between fights when he should be in the gym working on his once decent footwork and combination punching instead of all those drink/drug laden Lil Wayne concert appearances.
Broner has talent, but zero dedication. He needs to drop back to 140 and seriously concentrate on his ring craft otherwise his talent is going to go to waste - much like Ricky Hatton.
This is coming from a person who wanted to see Maidana brutalise Broner because of his arrogance and entitled attitude. You get nothing for free in boxing... he knows that now I'm sure.
Still, he's a talented individual, and I don't like to see them fall off the map because they fall for their own hype. Hopefully he begins to take his career seriously, because it's his only shot in life and the money he has now isn't going to last forever.

lol are you stupid?
Broner got hit cleanly more times in his last 2 fights did than James Toney got hit in the first 10 years of his career
Moving down to Light Welter won't be any easier for Broner with guys like Swift (if he stays), Matthysse, Rios and Provodnikov Providing those fights could be made)
Dudes gonna be broke and out of boxing in 5 years I gurantee it.

No just no... Your comparing Broner to maybe the single most naturally talented fighter boxing has seen! No matter how bloated, overweight or lacking dedication he never would have lost to a fighter of Maidanas level!
Am watching the fight right now, he was out worked, out punched, Maidana even threw variety of punches from bodyshots to upper cuts to left hooks, the only minus I would give Maidana was for the headbutt, but even then Broner was trying to milk it so Maidana can be disqualified. You could see Broner what out of there, he was looking at the referee for help and trying to get sympathy. This shows a difference from fights who can or would make it to the top and those who would be just underneath.
Wasn't it said that Broner took this fight more seriously than he has any other? Stop making excuses, Broner has had the luxury of being the bigger man, usually by far, in the ring and tonight he didn't have that luxury and got hurt by punches he's normally getting hit with but this time it was by someone his own size.
Why would I make excuses for a boxer who I really don't like and have no support for whatsoever? I tune into every Broner fight hoping that he loses.
The fact is that over the entirety of his career, Broner hasn't shown enough respect to the sport he competes in. His level of talent and potential is far beyond the dedication he puts in right now. I just don't like to see talent go to waste.

Even though I hate the guy with a passion, I have to agree that if he moves down to 140 and dedicates himself and stops being a clown, he could definitely get back on track.
