We need more fighters like Mike perez

Loeffler wrote on twitter the other day that if Perez beats Takam he want him to fight the winner of Szpila/Jennings. On the other note even Fat Solis beats everyone in the HW.

Erislandy Savon needs to defect, so that he can become pro and fulfill his destiny of having the most Cuban Boxing name of all time.

Dude is a class act I hope he doesn't become gun shy his activity is the reason he came out ahead against Magomed. And to the people who want more Cubans to deffect how about EVery boxing scener allowed to go and with money go to Cuba and sponsor your very own olympic boxer and get him out for just a few thousand you could sponsor your very own gold medalist please they need you. I agree. Or you could just say we need more Cuban amateurs to defect. I'm sure right now there's an amateur Cuban for every weight class that would whip the daylights out of the current champ in any weight class. Cubans do boxing better than anyone. Mike Perez is an exciting heavyweight, it would be good to see more like him but some of the other Cuban boxers...not so much.

I'm not saying it's not commendable but he did ruin Mago's life, it's pretty much the least he could do. Kovalev also gave the fighter he killed parents his purse from his next fight. IMO that is a very irresponsible statement from a so called boxing fan, that's the risk every fighter takes when they climb those stairs. That's why only the brave fight, and when they do their only job is to fight and protect THEMSELVES at all times. What the Cuban is doing shows his class but in no way is he libel for Mago.

i'm inclined to agree with you. i like verything perez does. reps ireland hard, but doesn't forget that he's a cuban. boxes like a cuban at flipping HW. take notes, solis. perez is actually in shape. he can punch, he can box, and he has a great chin. i want to see perez vs wladimir before wladdy retires. perez will lose to the jab, but he'll at least be in the fight early on.

Perez didn't have to do a damn thing. He took monster bombs in that fight as well. It could very easily have been him in a coma. It's the chance all fighters take. They all know that going in. With that in mind, Mike's gesture is laudable. He's obviously a caring human being and a gentleman. Yes, boxing needs more guys like him.

First of, Perez is a very good HW willing to fight anyone with good skills & power. Giving 10 % of his purse & wearing Mago's name on his trunks for the Carlos Takam fight is pure class. I liked this guy a lot before the Mago fight & even more now. Go WAR Perez !!! Nice touch by Perez...you can't really blame the fighter in a sport like this when unfortunate incidents like Mago occur...Anyway, he is an interesting character and almost guarantees exciting fights, looking forward to him being involved in some bigger match ups in the HW division soon! :boxing:
