Good article on Koncs ripping Pacquiao off.

Manny really needs a professional third party helping him out ala Vision Qwest. None of these shady "friends" like Koncz...Koncz is blatantly in Arum's pocket. Many people like Ariza, Mayweather, Oscar, VQ have made it clear that people surrounding Pac aren't the most scrupulous people and Manny is allowing them to continue mugging him off. Hopefully he gets rid of this guy I don't want to see another big star of the sport end up broke.

Here's a little tid-bit to chew on. I recall the report said that MannyP fired Vision Qwest for incompetence and going outside their mandate. Anyway, this thread got me interested and I looked them up. I found that the average VisionQwest Accounting Manager gets a yearly salary of $40,000 against the average of 5 equivalent companies of $131,000 a year. ...... But time has proven VisionQwest as being competent however. There claims about Pacquaio's tax trouble has come to fruition. So regardless of the salaries their staff is making compared to their competitors, the work of VisionQwest regarding Pacquaio has been spot-on.

It's clear that Koncz and Arum and whoever else don't have Mannys best interest at heart. The fact that Koncz is Mannys advisor but visionquest said he is also a employee of top rank should show that he probably doesn't have Mannys back. ( Mannys pretty much bis own brand and their handing in hand written receipts thats such a joke ) Arum is probably also to blame with announcing he's getting paid 20-30 million a fight but a gaurenteed purse of 6-8 million after he takes his share and expenses and other deductions he's left probably with a fraction of that. Mannys just surrounded himself with a bad team and add to the fact he spends like a drunk sailor plus the cost of having his family running for government and the $ he breaks off to the church It's probably bound to happen the good part is he still has a couple years left of earning potential left.

Pac is surrounded by leeches. I hope he grows a pair to get rid of the useless people around him.

If I could've changed one thing in the history of boxing it'd be for Manny to have taken the Oscar route and left Arum when he got hot. So sad.

I have no sympathy for Pacquiao. I specifically remember this VisionQuest story coming out in 2011. If I were in Pacquiao's shoes and I heard a story even remotely as shady as this one, I would have had it investigated immediately and ceased all business actively for Koncz until the results came back. Instead he let someone get in his ear and have them fired, and now finds himself in this position. You can't claim ignorance in a situation like this if we knew more about Pacquiao's tax issues before he even did. Pacquiao is just as responsible as Top Rank/Koncz are.

i read a GQ article on pacquiao where pacquiao caught one of his entourage members stealing from him and pacquiao did nothing about it. never fired the guy. His reasoning? He got caught already, and the shame of getting caught and hurting pacquiao's feelings was enough of a punishment and deterrent. Quite ridiculous.

If Pacquaio had any common sense, he would have listened to Vision Qwest in 2011 when they tried to warn him about Arum and Koncz. If he had, he would have fired Koncz immediately, finished out his contract with Arum and left him, all of his tax issues would be resolved and he would be preparing to fight Mayweather in May for $50 million. As it stands, Pacqauio is just another in a long line of stupid athletes who will end up broke at the end of his career.

If manny doesn't wise up after this he deserves it. Fool me once...
