Mikey has excellent technique, excellent Boxing IQ, Very good power but Gamboa simply outclasses him athletically. It would be a good technical boxing match for 5 rounds or so but eventually Gamboa hits him hard with something Mikey doesn't see coming and finishes him
Are yall talking bout the same Gamboa that was dropped by a journeymen Farenas in his last fight?? Garcia would break Gamboa down and stop him inside 10 rds. and give him a lesson on boxing to take back to Cuba!
GAmboa could beat him on leftover talent alone even now, if the fight will happen ill give you a shout so you can give me easy poi i mean make a bet.
A few years back I would agree with you but Gamboa is clearly not the same anymore and Mikey has improved so much in every aspect that even with the old Gamboa the fight would be very difficult to predict. At this point I would pick Mikey to win decisively and possibly even stop Gamboa.
Lo que bien se aprende , no se olvida.
Gamboa has enough talent to have a long lay off. Come back with maybe two tuneup fights and whoop Mikey.
If he can turn around and stop wasting his talent being a complete moron and diva , the talent and style is there to beat Mikey IMO.

Ill take that bet
I'll bet you whatever you want that Gamboa will mop the floor with mikey, mikey didn't want him to fight 2 years ago and hasn't answer the call just yet, I guess he is not as confident as you are.
Bet then, 2 years ago Gamboa was the one running doing no shows to the Rios press conference! When the fight is made make a bet thread and I'll be there to take as many points that you want to give.

Interesting to see that this is basically right down the middle with all the posters,,
alot of good posters on here, and we are all over the place, just tells me that this is the fight to make at 130
mikey flattens gamboa.
he controls range too well and with his advantage in height and reach i dont see gamboa getting close to him very often. mikey is smart in there too, breaks down his opponents really well from a strategical point of view and capitalizes on any and all mistakes they commit. gamboa makes a lot of mistakes, getting frustrated by his inability to get close wont make things better in that regard. then dude is kind of chinny on top of it, mikey kills him.
Gamboa rips him apart.
I don't think its a competitive fight. Garcia is overrated, he is basic.
Solid but basic. I don't see naff all special about him.
Gamboa would win some early rounds on his speed and athletic ability,, but with his habit of squaring up and having his chin up in the air, Mikey would have a field day with him after about 4 or 5 rounds..
Garcia is a very hard counter puncher and gamboa hasnt faced anyone like that in the pro ranks..
So right now i would favor garcia in a close fight with the kd being the difference.
It wouldnt shock me if gamboa overwhelmed him early and stopped mikey in 4, but as of right now i favor garcia

I dont have much points but if this fight happens I will put them all up. I have Garcia in this fight.
Or maybe it's just Bellew is not very good and your idea that he will be a future Top 10 P4P was a ridiculously poor observation.
I admit I overestimated Bellew's talent but I still think if not damaged from the loss he's still a top 6 oy 7 LHW. Also a big part of me predicting him to be top 10 P4P was based on him getting fights which he had seemed to be doing a lot better than most.
