Mayweather Options at 147

Porter has zero fanbase, and the Alexander win doesn't erase the fact that he struggled with Julio Diaz. Khan did too, and was panned and ridiculed for it, so why does Porter get a pass? Maidana actually has a loss to Khan, so how would he be a better choice? Devon has just lost as you said, and even before the loss, he wasn't particularly deserving. As I have repeatedly said, Garcia has gone on record saying he doesn't want the fight. Thurman who? They guy's best win is a shot to shi.t Quintana. Porter isn't coming off of no ko loss from 2 fights ago. Maidana will be coming off of a career defining win in Broner...Thurman off a win over Karass.. Porter off a win over devon. All more deserving than Khan at this point. Stop mentioning Danny Flat Foot Garcia please, that would be on of Floyds easiest fights, Danny is a lighter version of Canelo, he is a slow counter puncher who doesn't pressure fight but has had hook punch. Its not even a challenge that fight, so please stop, the only ones that will be a challenge are Bradley and Pacquiao that is all, Pac is washed up but he would give a bit of a difficult fight compared to a flat foot Garcia. Garcia has decent all around skills and power. Just as good an opponent as anyone else at 147, and much better choice than Khan. I cant believe people are actually suggesting Porter (well actually I can, most of you are morons). Most of you guys switched over to Kirkland-Tapia once that fight started. I doubt you would do the same if it were Khan fighting. Devon was being discussed prior to his loss. I don't see why Porter can't take that spot. Not the best choice but a sight better than Khan at this point.

Honestly probably no one. I didn't hear Lara calling out Mayweather either though, he called out the other guy. You already have it built in your brain most likely, that I'll be defending Floyd fighting Khan, but I won't. It's a pretty bad fight. It's all very well hardcore fans pushing for a guy the general public has never heard of, that leaves Floyd trying to sell the fight on his own, halving everyone's profits from the fighters to the hotels, pubs, tv companies, bookies etc. I'm surprised you actually have a neutral opinion on that. Like I said, if Lara-Canelo is made, and there is NO REASON that fight shouldn't be next for Canelo, Lara would have a stronger case after beating a big name opponent like that. Every time someone say Lara isn't a draw.. They are the problem!! I know but they are right and his style wouldn't make for an interesting fight. In my opinion he is a one of the 2 best fighters at 154, but he won't help sell PPV. Khan brings in the UK fans (whether you think he deserves the fight or not), what does Lara bring (the crowd was booing half the fight)? There are not to many options @ 147 especially with Broner moving up there (He won't fight Floyd and is taking away fights Floyd could have fought (Miadona) I think most people would rather see that fight than Khan, lets wait and see what happens this weekend because if he somehow pulls off the upset then he can be an option for Floyd if he hasn't already signed to fight Khan)

No. Lara is the problem. If you're a professional boxer, it is part of your responsibilities to make yourself a draw. This is a business, no one owes anyone anything, and only whiny b*tches demand big fights without bringing any business upside to the table. Make yourself a draw or fight for low pay. That's the way it works. Please educate us. How does a fighter make themselves a draw??

LOL at Pacman being a great option. 2014 people, that fight sucks. This isn't 2010. Pacman has been knocked stiff, beaten and looked his age. The best fights, (as far as competitive) are at 154. I do not get paid when Floyd fights, therefore I have absolutely no interest in how much he makes. I gotta look out for number 1, me. Floyd/Lara is thee most interesting fight imo. At welterweight I'd settle for even Porter/Floyd over Khan.

Bradley/Garcia are better options at 147 but they arn't going to do huge figures. Guys, quit talking like Bradley and Garcia are options for Floyd. Bradley is with TR and Garcia doesn't want the fight. Like it or not, there are no realistic choices at 147 that are significantly better than Khan.

I disagree. The best options are at 147. The big fights may be difficult to make at WW but they are 10x better. Pacquiao and Bradley are excellent options but at the moment they aren't likely. Both fighters should become free agents in a year or so though. There are also possible fights with Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman at 147 in the near future. Broner is also an option albeit a longshot at the moment. Then you have other fighters like Matthysse, Maidana and Porter who are a big win away from being in the hunt. At 154, I don't see many solid options especially since Floyd only goes there for big money fights. The only person I would like to see him face is Lara and that fight isn't really likely at all. Guys like Trout, Molina, Angulo, Kirkland, Canelo, Andrade and Vanes are not realistic options. I can't see Floyd fighting any of them. Canelo would have to go on an amazing streak to get another shot at Floyd.
