Garcia deserves it more, definitely. But I wouldn't necessarily be any more interested in that fight because of the styles. Garcia matches up terribly with Mayweather.
Kell Brook, Carlos Molina at 154, Winner of Trout vs Lara or if Alexander wins impressively against Porter
I would take ANY of those fights over fukin A Mere Con, I don't know how in the hell they are going to even market or try to sell Amir Khan vs Mayweather, he is not undefeated, he is not as big of a Draw as HE THINKS and NOBODY believes he can win
Mayweather vs Khan does worse than Mayweather vs Guerrero
danny and angel said they dont want it yet
This. They said they wouldn't jump straight into a fight with Floyd when Danny moved up to welterweight. I also think GB don't think Danny can be a draw. I say this because look at Canelo and Broner..... Canelo just got whooped by Floyd but is going to headline 3 PPV's next year. Then u got Broner who squeaked by Malignaggi but was suppose to headline a ppv vs Maidana. Danny on the other hand beats Matthysse and there's zero talk of him on ppv next. Not that I think he should be a ppv headliner, niether of the 3 should but it's just funny to me that the other two are ppv material in the minds of GB and Danny isn't.
Danny saying he doesn't want the fight is complete bullshit. Golden Boy told him to say that. No sane person would refuse a life changing pay day. GB is cashing out on Khan before he loses again so they're telling Danny to step aside. Danny will probably get his shot on Sept 15th.
Garcia and Angel know they aren't ready for Floyd having a 2- 3 mil pay day does nothing for him
he can have big pay days as he builds his rep and keeps his "0", he'll fight Broner before he fights Floyd. The "0' is very much part of his image, he and his father make a huge deal about it, everyone always doubts Garcia and he manages to prove them wrong and keep his 0
Garcia is in boxing for the long haul and is slowly building a following
I look at it differently. Broner gets to be babied and protect his "0" and is being groomed to become the next undefeated star in boxing by avoiding Mayweather who will certainly give him that 1st L.
On the other hand, Garcia has been put through hell, unified his division, became lineal champ only to be built up as an opponent for Floyd to cash in on?
That's not fair. Its clear that with an "0" there comes marketability and future profit generation. Why does Broner get to hide behind the "he's my big bro, I'm not fighting him" excuse while Garcia has to be the next hyena fed to the lion?
Losing to Floyd will not hurt Garcia's marketability at all. Having his 0 is not part of his image. I could kind of see your point with Broner though. If they want to make a Floyd copycat, that 0 needs to stay intact. With Garcia, it doesn't matter though.

Khan v Mayweather will be an entertaining build-up and fight, Devon v Floyd would be a boring build-up and even worse fight.
But you want the Khan fight so that point doesn't apply to you. I'm talking to the people calling the Khan fight a **** fight because "he's not deserving" and "hasn't done **** at welterweight". Based on that criteria, Alexander is and should qualify. So if they don't like that fight, then shut the **** up and stop *****ing about Khan.
Maidana might yet throw a wrench in the works, the fight I'd respect FMJ most for taking next (non-TR) is Thurman.
Maidana is a worse choice than Khan at this stage. Thurman would have beat Soto Karrass who beat Berto so I guess you can call him "deserving".
Swifty don't want the fight yet. Devon should be next in line.
If you don't like the Alexander fight then you deserve to be handed the Floyd vs. Khan matchup on a plate.

His Dad Angel was never keen on the Floyd fight iirc, and let's face it he's not 100% sane.
Garcia's going to be the same old story. As crap as Khan is, he brings a new dimension to this fight which is speed. I'm not saying Mayweather's never seen speed before, just that it's been a long time and it's going to be a refreshing sight. Canelo was disapointing as hell. We know Khan always bring it.
Unfortunately, I'm looking forward to this fight, as there are not many other options for Floyd.

At the end of the day no matter who it is, people will cry that they're too green, too old, too slow, too small, too big, too this and too that... It's the same record played over and over after the fact.
A Garcia fight WOULD be better than Khan however a Garcia fight is marinating for a later date, like the Alvarez fight. A Khan fight is just sh*t and has been sh*t well before Khan was being KO'ed at JWW.
What should happen is Mayweather vs Bradley but we all know Floyd is scared sh*tless of Bradley... O wait, that's not true.
It's the simple fact Bob Arum doesn't want Floyd to embarrass him or his fighters.
Based off the current WW standings, Bradley Mayweather should be next yet everyone knows because Bradley is with Top Rank, it won't happen.

I'm glad Garcia didn't take the fight he's certainly not ready. He's not a money hungry, attention-seeking whore like Khan. Wise move by Angel 'the truth' Garcia.
Why is there no talk about Mayweather vs Garcia, Garcia koed Khan.
because the glass chinned khan has a pair unlike a lot of duckers. He'll get ruined but can't fault him. Also why would anyone turn down a chance to fight the best and get minted in the process?
Garcia and his camp don't want none!!
1. i totally agree,, garcia has earned his shot,
2. Garcia and dad dont want the fight yet, which is smart, I dont think garcia will ever be ready enough to beat floyd, so you might as well milk your title reign
3. In a perfect world we would have bradley-floyd in may, with khan-garcia 2 sometime early next year
If Floyd could still make 140 he should fight him there so he could say he beat the lineal champ in every division he has won in (He beat Hatton who was the champ at 140 but they fought at 147). If they fight Garcia he should fight at least one time at 147.
