Interesting breakdown here by a self-confessed hardcore Mayweather fan, and host of the TYT show "The Cool Out", Britton Hardin explains why Amir Khan is probably one of the most difficult fights for Mayweather at 147 because of speed, combinations and heart. As a threat to Mayweather, he places Khan above Danny Garcia, Devon Alexander, Timothy Bradley with only Manny Pacquiao possibly presenting an equal or more difficult challenge than Khan.
Seriously the only people that have a chance to be competitive with floyd is bradley, pacquiao and biscuit chin.
People *****ing about the khan fight wont have to worry because everytime khan gets metioned to floyd he's like we aint trying to disrespect no fighter... Id give floyd more credit if he fought khan than if he fought garcia.
Said it several times here: Pacquiao, Bradley, Khan (in this order)...
when will people realise this khan doesn't exist anymore, now it's virgil hunter khan, boxer khan
Even though he lost to Peterson and Garcia, I think he looked great compared to how he's looked under Hunter.
I guess if a self-confessed hardcore Mayweather fan says it...it must be true.
Although i have always said...Khan could give Floyd problems. Im more concerned about Khan taking a payoff more than anything. Floyds opponents normally go from making thousands to making millions to fight him. Would Khan take the biggest purse in his career plus an added bonus to make Floyd look good? Hmmmmm Damn...i mean Floyd could make more than he has ever made in his life...just fighting Manny. But wont. Hed rather fight some guy that use to spar with Manny for waaaay less money. hmmmmmmm
The main stumbling block I see with the Manny vs Floyd fight is Bob Arum.. You must be aware of the history between Floyd and Arum? Floyd doesn't want to make Arum any more money at all, he wants nothing to do with him. Arum basically made millions off of Floyd when he was coming up and only paid Floyd a tiny percentage. Would you want to work with someone who ripped you off?
I do think Manny presents more of a challenge to Floyd because of his speed, power and the fact that he's proven against some very tough fighters. He is a better all-round boxer than Khan, his record highlights his superiority. BUT, Khan is faster than Manny and Floyd, that's the one thing that should, in theory at least, make a Floyd vs Khan fight very interesting and entertaining for however long it lasts. And the intangibles are worth considering - whether Khan's power and punch resistance improves at 147, if it does then Floyd will be in the toughest fight he's had for a long time.
Sure kid. Khan is awesome. Too bad he ducked Devon then.
lmao.. Khan ducked Devon? What planet are you living on, Devon has ducked Khan 3 times now. Porter isn't the first time Devon begged for a different opponent and ran from the Khan fight. You guys actually believe the bull coming out of Kevin Cunninghams mouth? You must have been born yesterday, that dude is a compulsive liar.
I wish people would stop talking this fight into significance. It is a rubbish fight that Khan doesn't deserve.
this.
mayweather will time khon just like garcia did and kill all that speed . . . .
Lol are U actually impressed with yourself for predicting Dawson was going to be weight drained at 168?:wtf1:
At the time, most of the boxing world, pundits and this forum thought it was a completely fair and even fight. A lot of people even said Dawson would win.
I was one of the very few people probably in the world to call it exactly as it happened. So bow down in the presence of greatness. :spank:
Roach use to say the same thing before Khan left him
Khan will cause Money problems, I cant wait till the fight happens, a lot of u are going to be eating humble pie
You guys don't really know your boxing. Why do people selectively choose to describe someone by their former weight class when they are no longer at that weight. Khan himself was a lightweight back in 2009 when Diaz had already moved up to light welterweight by that point and in fact Diaz has fought at a heavier weights than Khan for years.
In fact you could easily reverse your argument and say that light welterweight Diaz momentarily stunned lightweight Amir Khan - it would make more sense than what you're suggesting since Khan was still fighting at lightweight around the time Diaz had already moved up to a higher weight.
Diaz moved up to light welterweight (140 lbs) back in 2008 - Khan was still a lightweight at that point and remained a lightweight (135 lbs) until 2009.
Momentarily stunned? He had him running for life.

You will never hear Smith or Bayless talk styles or what a fighter possess cause they don't watch boxing, at least these two do and you can tell. That said Khan doesn't have a chance, people are so fuckin' stupid, they see Khan's speed, ranginess and think he can make things happen from a distance. That's not how it works, Floyd Sr and Roger will watch the tapes, see that Khan is absolute garbage on the inside and Floyd's game plan will be to walk him down. Khan gets stopped in the mid rounds, possibly early.
