CARL FROCH branded challenger George Groves as "ridiculous, embarrassing and pathetic" ahead of their world title clash in Manchester on Saturday. Froch, the IBF and WBA super-middleweight champion, let rip at 25-year-old Groves when the pair met at their final pre-fight press conference.
Froch, 36, said: "Some of the things he has been saying have been absolutely stupid and that has made me more determined than ever to flatten him on Saturday.
"What he has been saying about me has been ridiculous, embarrassing and pathetic and what I will do to him will be all the more pleasurable."

To be honest I think Groves' so called mind games are going to backfire on him. I don't think Froch wanted the fight, as it is one he may have struggled to get motivated for after his recent run of big time fights. All Groves has done is fire Froch up.
Pretty much, he's desperate to knock Groves out now. I don't Ariza did Rios many favours either.

Froch should calm down a bit. Why the hell is he so angry about Groves? Of course Groves will not say something like: "Well, Froch is a verry good fighter and will propably beat me but at least i will try it and get my bum-ass in the ring with him" or some bull**** like that!
As a boxer you always need to believe you can win the fight!
Groves has been a right twat in this build up. Can't wait to see the smug little cûnt get starched.
I'd rather think that Froch is bored and unmotivated by now... He seems he doesn't enjoy fighting anymore -- he enters the ring just for more money...
Gotta disagree with you there. Froch is a fiercely proud guy, he is well motivated for this fight as he knows he wont be able to cope with losing it.

I can't agree more here. If your purpose as a prize fighter is to go lick lick shine your opponents boots then you should probably rethink your career. That said - Groves is not as seasoned as Froch, neither has he been fighting elite fighters consistently - let alone at all, so Froch is an obvious favorite. If Groves can stay away from getting Bute'd, then his movement and speed advantage could net him a UD. The odds of that are slim on paper, but his boxing advantage could make it interesting.

And this is based on what exactly?
... Based on a hunch... I find that Froch doesn't act like he is emotionally strong before fights... But he usually turns into a beast after the first bell... We'll see...

Froch's inflated ego always serves as a motivator,I have never seen Froch not confident and motivated,he claimed that his victory over Kessler put his legacy above that of Calzaghe. He still disputes the existence of his loss to Andre Ward, you would be hard pressed to find a guy with a bigger chip on their shoulder in the sport than Carl Froch.
Groves has really gotten inside Carl's head. That might not neccessarily be a good thing for Groves.
