Don't like to add to an old thread but RJJ deserves to be in the ATG top 25. Maybe not as low as the guy put him but he was an amazing fighter... If anyone like FMJ and thinks he's great but doesn't think RJJ is greater they are stupid fools
Roy Jones?
Can Rocky Marciano beat Roy Jones at 185 lbs.? No way.
Can Hagler beat Roy Jones at meet in the middle catchweight? No way.
Can Tommy Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard beat Roy Jones at Super Middleweight? No way.
Can Michael Spinks beat Roy Jones at 175 lbs.? No way.
Remember, prime Roy Jones beat both James Toney and Bernard Hopkins and won a minor heavyweight title.

Well, Pac already beat Rios. Then he dominated Bradley after Bradley won the title by beating Marquez. If Algieri goes on to do well against future competition, any win of his would add to Pac's legacy due to how easy it was for Pac to beat him. Algieri's win over Rusyan was Ring Mag "Upset of the Year."
For having done this, Pac moves up to top 15 pound for pound all-time. If Mayweather ducks him again, that could be counted as a win for Pac - hence putting him in the bottom half of the top ten greatest pound for pound ever.

Amazing accomplishments by Manny Pacquiao. A true All Time Great of this Era
1. Going up in Weights and winning in 8 divisions.
2. Winning 4 Lineal/Ring Titles against 4 credible Champions (Sasakul, Barrera, Marquez, Hatton)
3. Have amazing big fights among Barrera, Morales and Marquez and have two wins against each of them.
4. Considered as Mexicutioner in some point of his career.
5. Resume filled with future Hall of Famers.
6. Defeating WW/JrMW opponents in a more convincing way than Floyd while he's not a Natural WW.
7. Returning to top as a Top 2/3 P4P fighter after having a devastating KO loss.
On Topic: If he beats Mayweather, I'll put him on Top 10.

he beats Rios
rematches and beats Bradley or Marquez convincingly
then fights Mayweather as his final fight and beats him before hanging up the gloves

Funny to read all the past posts before these fights occurred.
He added undefeated Algieri to the list. Only one remaining is Mayweather.
Win or Lose Mayweather will do anything to duck Pacquiao. For me, Pacquiao is still the best.
Fighter that he has beaten:
JMM (twice)
Morales (twice)
Barrera (twice)
Diaz (K.O)
De la hoya (Quit)
Mosley (UD)
Hatton (K.O)
Cotto (K.O)
Clottey (UD)
Margarito (UD)
Bradley (Definitely Pacman beats Bradley)
next Rios
No doubt one heck of a resume, the best in my lifetime in terms of opponents faced. I'd rate him above Floyd, win or lose because Floyd doesn't have a resume to match that, plus it's not just the wins, it is the manner of many of those wins. Destructive performances to say the least.
top 5 but forget the Mayweather fight, Floyd's a coward b!tch expect him to duck Pac more than ever if he sees his performance this coming Saturday still on the elite level.

Dempsey yes, Arguello, No.
Big no. Pac never even beat a fighter as great as Olivares, let alone fight one.
But wasnt olivares kinda on the slide, still very good, but not quite at peak, similar to manny beating morales,,,
Manny beating MAB, jmm, were all great wins, that stands up to any other win that arguello had.. plust overall, manny has much more depth on his resume than arguello does, he fought more "big" fights, and went thru more division..
No disrespect to arguello because he was a great fighter, i just think manny has done more overall in his career
Non taken, I just think Dempsey was the most dominant heavyweight of his era and the most feared fighter of the decade. When he eventually faced Tunney, he'd been out of the ring for 3 years and was never the same again. Arguello has great achievements but yes, Manny overtakes him but I think, from the fights I've seen, that Arguello was more skilled, better combinations, terrific speed and agility (Manny trumps him on speed) and good solid power.
TBH, there are names in my list from 35-40 that could easily be interchangeable. If you place him higher, no problem but he shouldn't be any higher than 30.
Yes i will agree that arguello was more skilled and precise than manny,, I figure that if manny and arguello would fight, it would be just like the jmm-manny fights, with manny's knockdowns saving him from loses
Pac was already in the top 10 when he beat up 3 HOFamers JMM, EM & Barrera. After he KO DLH, he's already top 5, Beating Cotto was Just a Bonus. Losing to JMM doesn't change anything. Bradley was a dominating win for him. He's already top 3. Beating Floyd make him No 1.
not at the moment , we talking about best of all time,
no way pac top 5
