hating a boxer because of the childish rhetoric you hear from his idiotic fans on the internet? if you're guilty of that you're foolish, and likely one of those idiotic fans. This^. Really - you know, all the **** trolling can get me to dislike individual posters and even form some probably unfair ideas about a certain section of a fighters fanbase, but to dislike the fighter themselves? The terms 'ghetto' and 'thug' etc. and the people that used them were booted long ago by Bringer so where is this trend you speak of? The mods have got a lot sharper at dealing with racism on here, subtle or otherwise. Credit them with that, it used to be a lot worse in the not too distant past. I dislike fanbases of fighters who purposely go out of their way to hate on fighters who don't deserve it. Pacquiao for instance, this is probably one of the most humble person boxing has ever seen, he's explosive, he's exciting, he's soft spoken...yet you'll get Floyd fans who actually hate his guts for no reason. It's pretty disturbing. Those same people also hate on guys like GGG, the Klitschko's, etc, but you'll never find them hating much less accomplished people like Broner. In fact they'll have nothing negative to say about their behavior.

There's an element to these so called "fans" that have to criticize certain fighters that are more popular than their favorites and then the criticism becomes so frail it's transparent as hell. They aren't just haters of the fighters/fans but the sport itself. I see several of those guys posting in this thread too. :peeright:

I don't go against a fighter that has misguided nuthuggers but when I see fans say he is a great before he has a meaningful win I feel the need to point it out.

By who? and how often? Thats garbage and its overwhelmingly the floyd and broner fans that are most likely to make racist remarks. You only have to go back as far as the last two days and 2-3 of them have been banned in the wake of the Roach-Ariza incident. The mods have not "got a lot sharper" with dealing with racism or stereotyping at all. I called a certain poster out on his bullsh*t stereotype of fans that like Broner and the guy is still on here posting today. All they did was delete his post, real convenient. The typical argument on this forum goes...if you even speak up for a technical or should I say "boring to some" black boxers your automatically categorized as a hood, on welfare, food stamp using, living at home bum. I've seen it plenty of times on hater threads particularly targeting Broner and Floyd. While I am the most unbias fan of boxing I know, and enjoy all boxers of all style and races, that sh*t needs to end. These are the same people that would not ever speak these words in person to anyone yet they sit behind their keyboards like cowards posting bullsh*t, its really sad. Not once have I ever came across people, in person, that would even attempt to say some of the things some of our fellow posters get away with on here.Good post.

I came close to hating Margarito AND his fan base. But in the end, I realized that not every Mexican defends what Margarito attempted to do. I never hated Pac even though his fan base is the worst in boxing history.

People dislike guys like Manny, GGG and Lucas over fans. Nice guys in exciting fights who never talk **** and knock dudes cold. You can't deny it happens.

You can tell by some of the post who the losers are. I might talk **** to a Pac fan on here, but he's still my 2nd fav fighter behind Floyd. I'm black and my wife is Hmong(asian), I actually introduced pac to most of my in-laws. But when I throw fight parties I find myself arguing with them, about why not only does Floyd have a chance but why he'd be the favorite. I think people on here mostly blame the fans when really they don't like black, white, or asian fighters. Some people complain about black fighters bravado but not about guys like Froch or Fury. I dont take it personal because those who mention Floyd-Pac in every thread are obviously not real fans of the sport. The only fighter I hate was Margarito and that was only after the wraps. Im a guy so I'm not persuaded by what guys do outside of the ring, thats girly stuff, I dont care how much they get paid, that's girly stuff. I just want to see every top 10 fighter fight every other top 10 fighter. May the best man win!
