Where was it? Edwin didn't feel a punch the whole night through. Ward is upset at the power punchers around his division getting more attention so he's trying to be fake and act like he has power. He has none.
He has been fighting world class opposition. His punches look very solid to me and snap the opponents head back.
World class fighters don't tend to get knocked out. Outside of Allan Green who has been a little vulnerable in the past I am not sure who Ward was supposed to stop and failed to do so.
Carl Froch himself is regarded by his fellow professionals as a big hitter; has stopped 3 out of his last 10 opponents - because his last 10 opponents have been world class. The one slight drop beneath true world class he had was against Mack and Froch folded him in half early.
Can't honestly say there are any real KO artists in the SMW division, Anthony Dirrell does have a good KO percentage but he hasn't really fought any decent opposition. Abraham doesn't really carry his power anymore either.
If Eubank Jr decided to move up, he looks promising, other than that I think there's a few decent MW's who could carry their power upto 168.
ward has no power... whats funny HBO tried to hide the fact saying it was cause he was fighting a LHW. But if Rodriguez is a LHW then he was clearly weight drained and should have had less punch resistance
worst point i've ever read
edwin was hurt in round 11. He was holding constantly to get his legs back, it was pretty obvious. Andre has good enough power to make people respect and not walk right through him, he's not a KO artist though.
I didn't notice that, but a lot of people are saying HBO hyped his power...
Well, Edwin is Latino, and those guys tend to have really good chins...
And Ward was snapping his head back... I mean, even Bradley wobbled Marquez on more than one occasion, so its not unlikely Edwin was able to take the punches MAINLY becuz of his chin...
And no... He's not a puncher... Never was, so lets not pretend anyone actually expected him to be
I don't see how it why it matters whether or not Andre has punching power. He wins his fights and does so comfortably. Obviously he isn't a phenom where he puts you to sleep with one or two shots, but he hits harf enough to back fighters up and keep their attention. If the argument is that he doesn't have knockout power, I think we should have come to that conclusion long before now. But, on the other hand if the question is his skills, they've placed some prominent names on his resume thus far, regardless of whether it entertained you enough or not.
Im glad he aint one of those fighters that's all power with no brains like Valero, Pac, GGG. Power distarcts from skills and boxing. SOG is a master boxer and power would ruin the lessons he dishes out in the ring
What in the fuck, I don't even know why I come here anymore.
Where was it? It's in the same place where Matthysse left his power against Danny Garcia. Same place where Foreman left his power against Ali and Young.
Ward is a Foreman/Matthysse level puncher eh?
Damn is that an alien in your avatar? Wife of BHOP?
Lololol

Edwin was caught right on the jaw and it didn't hurt him. That shot makes Ward's "power" even more suspect.
It's exactly the type of flush shot that should have a guy down, especially a b-level bum like Edwin Rodriguez.
Oh i see. Well in that case im with you. Ward is not a very strong puncher. No need to build him as such. We dont even pretend with Floyd.
We're on the same page. Build Ward on his skill, not this phantom power. If he's unable to be a "star" then so be it.
You must not've been around after the Dawson fight where everyone was talking about Ward's newfound power, plus the hype recently that he can start knocking out solid chinned fighters. That **** isn't happening.

Kessler abraham and froch hit hard.
But i dont get the point youre making. Does ward hit particularly hard? Well no.
No one would disagree with you. Whats the point im missing?

Edwin can take a punch...This was a serious shot that drops many people
