On episode 1 of 24/7 he said he chose Rios because he was a come forward fighter and would make an exciting fight...lets look at the facts
Rios is 1-1 at 140 and lost to Alvarado who is a b class fighter...Rios is not even top 5 at 140 and has 0 fights at 147...Rios fights 1 style and can not adjust at all...just come forward and swing..this guy has 0 elite wins on his resume..has 0 noteworthy wins and is not good in any way possible..this is a sh1t fight period...the only reason i mention this is because all the sh1t posters hyping this are the same one who try to sh1t on all of Floyd fights even though he actually fights world champions coming off of good wins...This fight shoud be on ESPN if not NBC..Manny has not won a fight officially since 2011 and has not beaten a ww coming off of a win since 2009...Rios has not beaten anyone worth mentioning period...this is a sh1t fight and proves nothing
listen, i said its a **** fight. i didnt say its a good fight. what i am saying is it will certainly be better to watch than a fcukin mayweather fight mainly because it will be an actual fight.
pacman just got chinned so we dont know what sort of pacman we will be seeing, so to say rios has no chance is daft. all it takes is 1 shot.
you floyd fans are really something, at least hes fighting welterweights? ortiz and guerrero had 3 fights between them at 47 before fighting floyd. hatton had 1 fight at 47 and lost to collazzo aswell so get off your high horse with floyd fights welterweights crap.
"all it takes is 1 shot"..............
very well put....
but i guess this is something people who loved to and get used to watching snooze fest do not understand.......
Same idiots who say Pacquiao is overrated. He's done, blah blah. Now they're saying he's really Superman even after being put to sleep in his last fight. Hehe...
Same idiots who say Arum is a liar, now they're saying he's telling the truth. Hehe...
Mayweather fanboys can't make up their minds. If only they would focus on convincing their idol to fight Pacman they wouldn't have to make these idiotic threads. Hehe.. Pacman has been trying to cherrypick Floyd da best, but Floyd da best kept ducking. Hehe...
Where do you rank Pacquiao on the ATG list?

Same with PWill, he was eating them like candy before Martinez 2. IMO he didn't show a cracked chin vs Lara, who hit him with the kitchen sink and never dropped him. But he was nowhere near as worn as Pac at that point.
Also you have to consider Pacquaio has been a pro at a high level for a long long time. Took a lot of punches in his career. Let's say he get's through it, he's still near the end.
Williams showed a good chin but Pacquaio has shown a great chin, an amazing chin actually.
I think the KO definitely affected Williams, I don't think he was ever the same.
I'm actually really looking forward to the fight next week in all honesty. And Froch-Groves earlier in the night.
I do still think Pacquaio should have enough to get passed Rios. We'll see though.
Oh, absolutely. I'm just highlighting that just because he got knocked out cold doesn't mean he's finished or his chin is cracked. And other's have bounced back.
I mean, you don't even need to be knocked out cold to have your chin and resistance cracked and forever damaged. Just look at Trinidad-Vargas as an instant example. Vargas wasn't knocked out cold but his chin was cracked and never the same again.
I'm not saying Pacquaio is the same guy. There's definitely a strong chance he's not. I was so shocked when Marquez dropped him, literally could not believe my eyes. You get so used to seeing Pacquaio take any punch. It's a real shame because Prime Pacquaio truley has one of the all time great chins. But, it likely won't be remembered that way now.

Sure is, Pac could come back strong. But Pac may be at the tail end of his career, has been taking punches from bigger guys for years, and that first KD to JMM may indicate his chin might be cracked.

If we're talking bad stoppage loss's like that when they weren't out cold but badly hurt and stopped then the list goes on and on and on.
Like Duran against Hearns for example, wasn't out cold but badly hurt. Harold Johnson against Oakland Billy Smith. The list really goes on.
When you look at guys getting knocked out cold, the list of course get's shorter but there's still plenty of examples.
Take Terry Norris against Julian Jackson for example, knocked out cold but came back to have good success and a HOF career.
Matthew Macklin, knocked out cold by Jamie Moore and went on to do very well at world level and is probably in his prime now or close.
Lennox Lewis was used as an example earlier against Rahman, came back to do well.
I used Marlon Starling against Molinares. Came back in his very next fight to beat Honeyghan.
All cases in which coming back from being knocked out cold to perform well.
It's absolutely possible for a fighter to come back from a bad KO loss.

A good one that gets overlooked is Marshall over the great Ezzard Charles. Knocked him down 8 times and stopped him lol.
Then look at the guys he beat after that :boxing:

Of course they do.
There's been a lot more KO loss's in history than Roy Jones Jr.

Did RJJ come back from getting KTFO?
Yeah he fought again, but not at the elite level. You just don't comeback from getting KTFO
Again, there are more fighters than Roy Jones Jr getting knocked out in history. Believe it or not.
Fighters have been knocked out cold before and come back to perform well at the top level.
so you wanna pay to watch two fighters coming off loss?
I am but i dont want to and would prefer to pay for winners
if you don't want to then don't..who is forcing you?? lol...
So what if it's a cherry pick. Pac has "lost his last three fights" according to the same people who won't shut up about how bad this fight is. People must think highly of Pacquiao to be so expecting of his competition after 3 straight losses.
It will prove what Pac has left. At this point, that's the only question I care about and Rios is perfect for it.
this. pac just got knocked out unconscious in his last fight, he is coming off the longest layoff in his ENTIRE career, and he isn't getting any younger, and yet people expect him to fight the best available opponent??
this fight is obviously a tune up to see where pac is at (whether he can still take a punch and if he's gun shy or not, etc.)...it'll be an exciting fight to watch, but of course this isn't a legacy enhancing fight for pac (unless rios goes on to have an amazing career).

Not worse than bloating up Marquez 12 pounds for his first fight at WW and then cheating him on the scales by an extra 2 pounds or draining the top name at 154 and making him fight 2 pounds under his usual weight. Or fighting Robert The Ghost Guerrero lol.
Pacquaio fought Marquez twice at 147 (getting KTFO the second time). He forced Cotto to lose two pounds to fight him (he originally asked Cotto to drop to 142, but Cotto refused). Now, he is fighting an undisciplined guy in Rios who lost his 135-pound championship on the scales and has a 1-1 record above 135; yet, you think Robert Guerrero is a bad fighter.
If stupid was against the law, you would be on death row.
thats exactly why pacs fans are buying this fight -to see pac win a one sided beatdown. why cant they just admit it.
same thing can be said for mayweather fans son! he has no peers, can make easy work of anyone(thats what his fans say), so why do his fans not admit that they are paying for a one-sided fight?

The spelling error in your title is making me cringe.
:lol1: Molinares was swinging for the fences with that overhand right
He hit Starling so hard, he didn't even know he'd been knocked down much less out cold.
That's got to be the most amazing and hilarious post fight interviews I ever saw.
+400? is that where it's at right now? that's a good bet
That was what I was getting here but yea between +300-400 is what I have been seeing online.
Plus I know I will be able to get money on Rios probably 2 to 1 at the fight party.
