You're reaching, badly.
When asked if it means he has to stay with Shaw he said "that's a possibility."
Then completely off the Shaw subject he refutes the Khan fight "being good money" by saying "at the end of the day, it's risky. What if I lose the fight? I'm out the sweepstakes then"
Nothing to do with Shaw when making that statement.
You're not going to accept it and it is what it is but it's pretty black and white obvious that at this particular time he wasn't interested in taking the risk of fighting Khan with Pacquaio pay days in his possible near future.
What's sad here is that I believe your an old man..About 60 if I remember correct..How do you figure he was talking about something else??Was he asked another question??Did he himself say Khans name??No he did not, stop it already bro..Was Khan a risky fight,no doubt about it..Was TR a better deal??Yep no doubt about it..
It was not only just Pac,it was the deal of more then one fight..I bring your age up because you have been on this earth long enough to understand that nothing is that black and white ever..GBP/Shaw did not have a multi fight deal in place TR did..It was a better deal, not to say Khan was not a risky fight..Just that it's really short sided to say this is the only reason why this fight did not happen..Esp when Khan himself signed three fight deals after fighting a throw away fight with Mccloskey..
It's not a duck to take a better deal..
How is this any different from Khan ducking Devon Alexander to get a shot at Mayweather?
:dunno:
its not any different. bradley clearly ducked khan because "what if i lose, im out of the pacman sweepstakes" no real fighter should be thinking, what if i lose. it disgusts me.
Please, Tim is like a fine cuban cigar that you pay top dollar for at a specialty store and Khan is like a pouch of backwoods that you can get at the local checks cashed store.
They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence to be honest.

Exactly, obviously Bradley ducked Khan, it was the most public duck in the history of boxing.
Amazing how people will try to rewrite history even when they're confronted with irrefutable evidence. Must be weak-minded people who can't accept the truth so they always live in fantasy land.
I can't be mad at you saying nobody can use the quote,it is what it is..
I have respect for you Dan,so please don't make me have to call ya a name that I don't wanna..For now I'll just call it a misunderstanding, and point out directly when he says Shaw's name..At 4:35 Bradley is ask does it come down to if ya take the fight are you stuck with Gary Shaw..Which then in turn while answering Bradley says the whole thing what if he loses..It had everything to do with being stuck with Shaw..I'm also very sure that Bradley not having a multi fight deal did not help the situation..Please don't be a moron like ya pal Dirk..I'm very tired of owning him already on all things Bradley..Don't fall victim ..
LMAo..

LMAo..Very good post. The undeniable truth.
Bradley himself admit losing to khan at that stage would have ruin his career, he admit ducking the fight that he called for at that time, but hey he got paid right? Yay it was a great "business" decision for Boxingscene.
Everyone on both sides have been making some valid points,,,, let me just summarize
1. bradley-khan was set for a collision course in summer of2011
2. TR offers bradley a very lucrative deal, which includes a manny fight at some point
3. Bradley signs the deal and backs out of a khan fight
4. bradley did think khan was way too much risk vs the possible rewards for signing with TR,, Had he lost to khan, the lucrative deal goes up in smoke, hence why the qoute "what if i lose" Bradley was showing respect to khan and his skills because he knew it would be a 50/50 type fight and the financial gains were not comparable to the TR deal
5. Yes bradley wasnt the first choice for a manny fight, but he was being groomed to fight manny,, remember bradley's starpower wasnt as big back then as it is now after the manny, ruslan, jmm fights. So TR was going to put bradley on the mannny undercards to build his name..... Yes they tried to make a cotto rematch first but when that fell thru, bradley got the fight and a career highpayday double what he would have made vs khan
6. Had bradley fought khan, he wouldnt get a manny or jmm fight, plus he probably would have been toiling in the shadows like he was before the manny fight.. If he loses to khan, he loses all chances at ppv fights, and if he beats khan he still loses out on the ppv fights,, you can make a case that he could fight floyd, but bradley brings no starpower, and they had already groomed cotto, ghost, canelo, etc to fight floyd, so in theory he would have waited for another 3 years till about now to get a floyd fight and there is no guarantee that he would even get it,, danny garcia ko'd khan and beat lucas but it looks like khan is going to get the floyd fight,,,,
7. bradley was in a no win situation with the khan fight if he takes it,,, lose and all your ppv fights go out the window,, win and your still in the same spot but with no chance of fighting manny or jmm
8. Bradley made the right move,, he is going to make over 10 million with the TR deal, and he has greatly raised his profile since signing with TR
Good post, the two highlighted parts I don't agree with tho..I do believe he respected Khan as an opponent..Khan/GBP and Shaw just was not the better deal..Remember in that interview(the what if I lose interview)he was in a legal battle and could not let everything be known just yet..He had a better deal then the one(although it was a decent deal as well)GBP/Shaw was offering..Which is why he said what if I lose in regards to being stuck with a low ranked promoter..
I also don't believe for a sec that Bradley was not the 1st or 2end choice to fight Pac..Dude Cotto got the breaks beat off of him by Pac,I believe it really went something like Marquez then Bradley..Cotto was a bargaining chip to lower the asking price from other opponents..It's what you do in nego..
Overall tho good post..
Not even close to being the same, Khan is not WORTHY of a shot a Mayweather, your got Stopped by Garcia and struggled in your last fight and was dropped and hurt a few times
Bradley was in middle of a Lawsuit and was trying to get away from Gary Shaw...Do you know how IGNORANT that sounds to run around basically saying/positing "Bradley Ducked Khan To Fight Pacquiao and JMM" that is extremely disrespectful to those fighters who are Hall Of Fame Fighters compared to some HYPE JOB who is having an extremely disappointing Pro Career considering all the Hype he had earlier in his career
Khan is ducking Alexander or anybody good at 140-147 because his chin is horrible and he fears getting knocked out again before getting a shot a Mayweather, if he was so good he would have taken the Alexander fight then if he defeats him people would be more accepting to a Mayweather v Khan match up but he wants to do things the Cheap Way and get a Free Pass To The Top
Khan and Bradley situations are different, that's the truth of the matter..
I still don't blame Khan if he get's the fight tho..
The context is irrelevant you simply cannot put that statement in quote marks for anyone but Bradley.
And he was talking directly about Khan when he said "what if I lose?" But I'm sure that will somehow be changed into "He was talking in code what he really meant was Shaw when he said Khan".

Yeah it's also a duck. Taking lesser fights for lesser money to avoid your number 1 challenger in the division is ducking plain and simple. Otherwise what the fuk is ducking? Does it not exist anymore cos everyone seems to have excuses.
Khan is not taking a lesser fight and lesser money. He's going straight to Mayweather. If Khan rocks up and fights Casamayor next, then come back and say its the same thing.
Spin? No that actually happened. It's called facts. Spin is talking about how the fight happened 6 months later when Bradley had no way of knowing that at the time he ducked Khan. You're using hindsight to justify the prior act of ducking.
Cotto was most definitely the first option. When Cotto refused to go down in weight then Bradley was the next option.
Im sure there were others as well as Cotto. Marquez was one. Freddie Roach said he wanted Peterson over Bradley. Peterson stalled on signing the rematch with Khan because he was in line to face Pacquiao or Marquez. Not to mention the whole thing with Mayweather.
Bradley was a last resort

LOL....how was it even about Shaw?
"What if I lose to Shaw?". At what? A hotdog eating contest?
I'm sure he could just enter his wife if that was the case.

Bradley on tape ducking Khan ^^^
Is this supposed to be a joke? Bradley called out Khan on HBO and even named the date. Then suddenly a week later, he backed out and his fans say that date wasn't suitable for him....LOL
So the context in which he said it does not matter?? Or it's it right to make your own interpretation?? Cause he said that in relation to Shaw, nothing even to do with Khan really..
The context is irrelevant you simply cannot put that statement in quote marks for anyone but Bradley.
And he was talking directly about Khan when he said "what if I lose?" But I'm sure that will somehow be changed into "He was talking in code what he really meant was Shaw when he said Khan".
More like, "What if I get robbed?"....Bradley is not and was not afraid of losing to Khan because Khan was a better fighter. He had concerns because Khan was the bigger name and was being primed to fight Floyd at that point. If there was no knockout and the fight was even remotely close, Khan would have likely gotten the nod on the cards just so the Floyd-Khan fight could happen. Anyone of Tim's last 3 opponents or Abregu would all KO Khan but Tim said sure, let's do it.
Khan is too busy getting beaten up by street thugs and having his purse stolen. Dude is a joke like I called it a few years ago and he fell off like I said he would. He'll get the Floyd fight and get KO'd.....career fatality, party over. He ducked Alexander because he was too risky....only difference is Khan didn't get recorded saying it.
No you can't change the quote either :pat:
He didn't say "what if I get robbed" he said "what if I lose?"
That's the quote, and you can only quote Bradley saying that because he's the only one who said it.
You can attempt to justify it with your fantasy reasoning all you want but he's still the only one you can quote saying it.
And if that bull**** is on ppv, it will be the first Floyd ppv that I will not buy. I'm already not ordering Pac Rios either. I'll catch both somewhere.
Yeah, I made my mind up that I wasn't going to buy this one. I bought the Floyd and Bradley PPV's......I'm going to a friend's house or streaming this one. I'll get an HD download the next morning anyway so I'll be OK.
