Tito got put on the deck by smaller and worse fighters than GGG. Acting like he dominates a full blown MW who has plenty of credentials, skills and chin is straight fanboyism.
Triple G has very good defense. He hardly gets hit clean and all this while he is constantly coming forward. If you are putting that much pressure on your opponent and still not getting hit your defense is really good.
If Floyd were to fight offensively instead of running a marathon in the ring, he'd get knocked out.
I just don't think many of you realize how good at in fighting Trinidad was. Nobody has ever fought like GGG does and beat Tito. Matter of fact, nobody has ever fought like GGG does and not gotten KO'ed by Tito. Pressuring Trinidad was a sure way to get KO'ed. The power Trinidad hit with was the most "stop you in your tracks" power I have ever seen. Noone has ever walked through Tito's clean shots to the head.
I just don't think his 160 run was anything special. It was OK, but he really shouldn't be considered an elite MW, which he is, historically at JMW and WW.
I see your thought process. But I don't think GGG is elite yet. He's a good fighter with too much hype. Could Tito have gone through GGGs resume undefeated? Of course.
Can we say the same if reversed? I know weight comes into mind but I'm talking about caliber of fighters.
That's BS. You guys use hype over logic and history in these forums so many times with so many fighters.
Anyone remember the hype trains of maragrito, Paul Williams, Matthyse, even cintron or lacy?
Trinidad regardless at 160 and below has faced the better fighters . Punchers, overcame adversity even before he was at 160. Trinidad has the resume and experience and the power over GGGs power and hype. Who has GGG fought that compares to fighters Trinidad has ever fight ? Answer is no one.

It's funny but I think @ 154 Tito by KO. If GGG could make the weight comfortably and @ 160 GGG by KO. If he doesn't get caught by that devastating hook and if he does Tito by KO again.
GGG is a natural middleweight, whereas Tito was a blown up WW. I love Tito, but his relative success at 160 does not mean he could beat the GGG.
There, I said it. Let's be realistic now. I'm not saying he'd get knocked out, or lose in horrible fashion, but he shouldn't be favored.

You're talking about Joppy. Tito was predominantly left handed fighter plus chinny as well. I don't see how he could make it out of a fight with GGG as anything else but a KO victim.
Because beating Joppy means you can beat GGG, eh? I think it's the other way around. No one-handed fighter is going to handle GGG. Tito gets stretched like he's in a medieval torture chamber.
Tito wasn't one handed, he KO'd Joppy with the right hand.
Tito didn't hold his hands up in a peek a boo style, he held his hands up the right way. The way they teach u the first day u go to a gym. GGG holds his hands lower. By the way Tito would have stretched GGG out.

Kind of but they fight very differently when they attack.
Mikey Garcia starts off slow like tito andfights very similar to him in a lot of ways.
GGG not so much
IDK. GGG usually starts off pretty slow given the choice, usually only starts motoring around rnd 3 once he's had a good look what's in font of him. Stevens pushed him a bit earlier, as did Proksa, but he tends to prefer to establish just what he's facing.

golovkin has always reminded me of kosta tsyzu,,, GGG might even be a more devastating puncher while kosta was probably all better all around
ggg vs tito is a war,,,, I favor ggg simply because tito was at his best at welter and 154,,
if the same size,, i think tito is one of the few guys to make ggg go backwards and would expose his defensive vulnerablities and i think tito gets knocked down early but gets up, and down the stretch run, he blitz ggg, in a fight similar to vargas-tito
