As already been stated (and ignored, several times) There isn't a ridiculous amount of money going out to Mayweather, so yes that figure seems very real. In fact, I'm betting both Canelo and Cottos purses together don't equal to what they pay Floyd a night. They guys love to ignore the obvious.

there's more to that offer than what they're saying in media. if cotto gets that kind of amount, canelo would not be far behind. add the purses for the undercards and the promotional expenses...they have to sell close to 1 million ppvs to make profit. all the fighters purses on the whole canelo/cotto card combined will be less than the 32 million guarantee they gave mayweather for his fight with cotto. Gbp cant lose with this ppv. This will do 800 to 1million buys easy. Mexico vs puerto rico.

THis is destined to be the next floyd vs guerrero, this time gbp not showtime lose big money if cotto gets 10m, so will canelo the fight will need to generate around 700k ppv buys, that with the sponsors should pay for everything, remember, half of the ppv money goes to the cable guys, then like 5 percent goes to showtime

Well they're not paying Floyd all that money. This fight should do well if it comes to fruition. I believe the offer they made is legit.

Subtract roughly 25 million for total purses (including undercard) I have no idea how much promotional expenses would cost, but it certainly wouldn't be more than a couple million (if that). I would say the PPV needs to generate about 500,000 buys in order to be profitable. nah the purse won't go past 20 million...gbp would be extremely stupid to offer that much purses for a ppv headlined by cotto-canelo.

There isn't a 30 million plus purse for Floyd. 10 to both Cotto and Canelo shouldnt be hard to do.

if they paid canelo 10m and cotto 10million thats 20m that way better than paying mayweather 30m and canelo/cotto 8m which is 38million for purse,,, they will win all day long with COTTO VS CANELO

People saying it's a lie now.... GBP and Showtime better hope it's not. Not a good luck to be lying about money and making multiple announcements of this. I think it's real that they offered it though

They won't have to pay Floyd so much... So ya they can pay cotto a few more
