First of all starting with the Perez vs Mago fight the whole fight they only Showed Mago's corner except the last round (And they where speaking spanish in Mago's corner which i found odd) At the end of the fight no interviews.
That could all be attributed to ""well this guys aren't stars yet and not many people care" and that would be a valid point.
But then again it happened on the main event no interview from Stevens after the fight just GGG (maybe Stevens declined idk but he was there) am i just spoiled and used to it so much that it bugged me or did anybody else notice that stuff?
I enjoyed it but I didn't like how Max interrupted Gennady. And I'm a Max fan but let the Triple G speak.
I know what you're talking about Max did obviously cut off Gennady but i dont think he realized GGG wanted to say something else he was looking at the camera and sent it off. But overall it was very dry it did seem they didn't give the looser Stevens the chance to say his peace and that they snubbed the under card guys that gave us a great show and all through that first fight only showed one corner i thought all that was odd but maybe is just me usually they do better with the production :dunno:.
Good. The rest of the card was probably filled with undefeated fighters against absolute cans. So atleast one less can on those inflated records.
Yeah one was probably GGG
I cant decide which one of these posts is funnier. Well done

Yeah, they fought amidst a torrential down pour. The ref was there to keep em from drownin.
It was pretty bad lol the cameras ****ed up and they canceled the rest of the fights and had the Martinez fight bumped up
if anything they were generous to martinez given he should've lost to murray already..
Lmao Murray won like 3 rounds and a flash KD with a recovering knee and wet ring
They always snub undercard fighters and (usually) the loser of the main event, as if they're pressed for time, regardless if the fight ended early or went the distance.
How does HBO plan on building stars if they don't give the audiences a chance to listen to and get familiar with them? Waiting until a fighter headlines a main event is not the best route to take.
That is one feature that Showtime has that is steadily getting them the momentum. Last week, they interviewed Wilder, Quillin, Rosado, and B-Hop. The general public might not recall the fight, but they will remember Wilder's face when they see it again. Those fighters deserved a little more shine win or lose.
They were also heavily biased, insulting Martinez until GG looked flawed against speed, then approving of him spontaneously.
And The MW picture that somehow had Cotto in there was funny. I guess Maravilla will fight him next

They normally don't interview the undercard fighters.
Perhaps Stevens wasn't up to the interview but HBO surely cut the broadcast quick. Very little postfight comments or anything like that.
