Maidana with straighter shots, a jab, and the same S & C coach Pac had in his prime?
The guy's gonna be in the shape of his life and coming for blood, with more tools and a better gameplan than we've seen him have, thanks to Garcia.
Broner, meanwhile, has plateaued as a fighter.. has not brought his power up, and is assing around with hoodrats instead of training and focusing on the fight like he could be.
If the same Broner who fought Paulie shows up against Maidana, he's going to get smoked out and it won't be pretty either. Malignaggi was hitting him plenty in that fight and Broner's activity was nothing to write home about h there either.
However I think Adrien will show up in good condition, more acclimated to the weight and ready to put on a clinic. Maidana is practically tailor-made for him.
It'll be a good fight no matter what happens. I'll give Broner plenty of credit if he wins.
Waxed? Don't you mean that Khan survived down the stretch to eke out a close decision?
And I don't know about that being a "prime" version of Maidana. You have to admit that the guy has gotten better since then under the tutelage of Robert Garcia.I agree with you. I think Maidana is better than ever and he will be coming at Broner hard. I think Maidana has a good chance to win. Broner has never fought a guy that hits as hard and often with both hands as Maidana does. If Broner wins I would certainly give him credit for a very good win. If Maidana got another shot at Khan I would get a big bet down on Maidana to KO Khan. The Khan that fought Maidana seemed much better to me than the Khan I saw fight Diaz.
This is a good post, people on here think Broner doesn't get hit and has good defense and footwork but he doesn't. He is not a slick Boxer he is actually a come forward fighter, almost a brawler and Maidana will land his shots no doubt.
Opponents have landed shots on broner but they were all undersized or featherfisted, maidana is of good enough size and has good enough power to finally test Broner.
I think maidana breaks him down and forces either a ref stoppage or a KO win.
^^^^^^Chuuuuch
I'm not impressed with Broner, I don't think he is a very skilled boxer at all I guess if the commentary team keeps telling you that many will believe it.
He isn't active enough, is easy enough to hit, his feet barely move in a fight, and I have seen no evidence that he can hit hard enough to badly hurt Maidana.

Maidana goes life and death with every opponent. I don't get the whole " Maidana looks better under Garcia" thing. He could've easily lost to Josesito. He's nothing more than a brawler. I'm rooting for him all the way but boy are boxing fans blind. Where are his string of knockouts yall seem to brag about.
Wow...
So you prejudge everything this way? Broner is far from Berto 2.0, as a matter of fact he could really surprise people with his footwork. We haven't seen him move, but I think this fight will force that out of him.
He definitely has a lot of talent, so we will see.
He hasn't shown much talent at all to me.
All he has done is bowled over a load of tin cans that were half his size.
Ricky Hatton did a much more impressive job on Malignaggi.
Broner may beat Maidana but i still think he is Berto -2.0.
This place will be unbearable after that, but the fact remains Khan waxed a prime Maidana years ago.
At the bare minimum Broner must put him on his ass, but Broner can't crack an egg at welterweight.
So in summary he gets no credit from me, before the fight or after it.

i'm gonna stick my neck on the line and say maidana by knock out or tko, somewhere around the 7th. he may be outboxed for large stretches of the fight, he may even touch the canvass, but he will keep coming and he will break broner's heart.

this is one of the most retarded posts ever on NSB.

i'll be rooting for Maidana but in reality, i can see Broner out boxing him to a points win...at which point, i will troll with 'robbery' threads
at least you are a honest man
