The significance of the IBHOF has been diluted to the point where you couldn't argue against it. But induction has more to do with how popular and well liked you are by the people in charge of the whole voting process more than anything else.
Naz was a absolute treat to watch. He really did bring the smaller weight classes into serious exposure. He had terrific punching power and made a statement with that. As an entertainer very few come close as a fighter he was always above average and it showed. If he isn't inducted it would be a great shame on the sport.
Just look below!
IMO Naseem is a HOF'er. ALways enjoyed watching him fight. He has a very good resume. He made "liitle men" an attraction when they weren't. His only fault was he didn't develop his skills because he had so much power.
I never liked Prince Naseem, thought Kevin Kelley would beat him and he would disappear, loved the Barrera fight, But going on fame alone I think he does get in the HOF
I get the impression HOF admission is a weird balance between fame and accomplishments.
(a) If you're really popular you'll get in.
(b) If you've achieved a lot you'll get in.
(c) If you're kind of popular but have achieved some you'll get in.
(d) If you're not popular but have achieved some you won't get in.
Naseem was obviously popular (in the UK anyway) but probably not that well liked across the pond and it seems like his achievements aren't respected amongst those voting which when one looks into it, is somewhat harsh.

Yes he is and he should be a first ballot hall of famer. I used to be on the voting committee years ago, long before Naseem retired and some of the names that came up were ridiculous. Yes the southpaw monster puncher may have been in a slightly weak division but he held every single title on offer and beat some quality champions and challengers. What more can you ask for?
The Barrera fight would have been the cherry on top but sadly it didn't work out with Barrera being just that bit better.
Another name shamefully missing is a certain Chris Eubank.
Wow Mr. Bigshot, does holyfield name ever come up on discussion??
I dont understand how tzyu get inducted to HOF earlier than Tommy hearns?? and still no HOF star for Holyfield??
Holyfield is still active or only recently retired.
Did Barry McGuigan deserve a spot?
As much as I love Barry & what he did during the period he did it in is amazing but that was more out of the ring than in.
They need to regrade the Hall of Fame and have an 'Elite' level as opposed to the 'Regular' Hall of Famers.

Don't know about that but I loved watching him as a kid, maybe if he would have stayed with the ingles he could have been great, he definitely declined after leaving them. But for entertainment there was no better at the time, his style was unlike any other and had excellent power in both hands.
