He fights ANYBODY!
Angulo. Soto Karass. He declined to fight GGG at a catchweight. Got pummeled then still took another tough fight with J Leon Love on a Mayweather Promotions card...got robbed...luckly Love failed the tests...but then after all of that, he opts to fight Kid Chocolate. This dude doesn't seem to care about the concept of having a tune up fight.
I've questioned the handling of his career through some of these decisions, but you dayum sure can't question his heart. Looking forward to him vs. Kid Chocolate tomorrow.
Hes a tough guy but he has nothing to lose. He's not one of the best out there and a loss don't really mean a damn thing. He has a reputation of being a tough guy so he gets these fights that he's not supposed to win. Rosado gets a new opportunity to pull the upset and take his career to another level. If Rosado wins tomorrow then he won't continue to fight anyone out there. He will sit down with his team and carefully pick his opponents.
Exactly! People fail to realize this.
Gabe's one Tough SOB. He gave up his mandatory when Cornelius was champ (which i thought he would beat) and moved up instead to fought GGG. Took a beating and held his own against possibly the best MW actively. Dude's still learning on the job but has the essentials to make up a decent fighter. He beats Angulo this time around.

I really think he could beat Kid Chocolate.
Of course he fights tough opponents, that's what high profile journeymen like him do. He wouldn't be so brave if he had more to lose.
Exactly he wouldnt have faught these guys if he was in a good possition but he's trying to put his name out there which he has all he needs is a high profile name on his win column. I like gabe even after his ggg glove comments. Even if he loses but puts out a brawl effort the fans will love him and he'll get more fights.
He's given up a mandatory title shot at 154 instead opting to fight GGG. And now this is another title shot. He's cashing in his best options.
No arguing there... he's doing that money wise
He takes on tough assignments but mis-managed his career he should of stayed at 54 where he was in line for that title which he could of easily won then he'd have some leverage and a possible fight w/Canelo that would of been more winnable/better money now he's stuck fighting bigger guys who he's a underdog against
Ok let me recap on this.
Rosado says he SUSPECTS there was SOMETHING wrong with Gennady's gloves WITHOUT any PROOF, 9 MONTHS after their fight and now it's somehow legit...
Yeah, he has a great mentality. Though, in reality, what other option does he have?

Yeah, but he HAS to win tomorrow. I fear that he won't get another big fight if he takes another L.
I've been thinking the same thing. Rosado has been really working his opportunities -- he's had many more than most guys with his record -- but one more loss will probably make him a forgotten man.
Yea, people are mad because he keeps getting these shots, but he's taking a bunch of tough fights. He gave up his IBF shot for a bigger money fight and challenge against Golovkin.
He came up the hard way with a handful of AM fights
He's not really in a position though to turn down many fights

WAR Rosado !!!

Dayum........
Yeah. It's tough enough being a fighter, but this kid was working odd jobs, Home Depot, etc, then heading to the gym and training for fights. He's not alone, however. Very few boxers make enough money from the sport to concentrate exclusively on their careers.
This is exactly my thinking. Good for Gabe, but it's either do what he's doing or have a non-career fighting meaningless club fights. There was an interview posted a couple of weeks back with Rosado. He spoke of how he just recently gave up his day job. The man wants to be a real pro fighter. There's no other way.
