Now we've got cleverly out the light heavyweight picture, and alvardo's ability to box has been recalibrated, who do you see being the next fighter to have some aspect of their game exposed and in what way?
a couple off the bat:
I can see george groves getting chin-checked against froch in a big way. all those gym rumours could be put to the test.
also i wouldn't be surprised if kell brook is soundly outboxed by senchenko.
You're an idiot. Cleverly got "exposed?" Anyone with half a brain knew that Cleverly was going to get obliterated by Kovalev. That simply was the absolute worst possible matchup at 175 for Clev. He didnt' get "exposed" Sergey is just on another level.
Cleverly is still at top 10 LHW IMO and I favor him to beat the likes of Cloud, Campillo, etc. 175 is pretty thin aside from the top 3.
And Brook should run through Senchenko if he's as good as they say he is, Senchenko sucks. He's just not very good.
fighters being "exposed" is one of the lamest terms ever. everyone knows everybody else's weaknesses before they even get in the ring. exposures don't happen in boxing. losing to someone who is better that night does.

I feel like only boxing noobs and 12 year olds use this word "exposed"
to these uneducated types of people who know nothing about boxing, any time a fighter loses a fight, he is 'exposed'. We shouldn't even call them losses or have a win/lose column we should call them exposures.
TALE OF THE TAPE, he is the fighting pride of Miami, Florida, with 17 wins, 14 by way of knockout, and only 3 Exposures!
I mean it's ridiculous
LOL this is on point.
Mike Alvarado was in no way "exposed" last Saturday.
Can we define the proper definition of "expose" please? When a fighter loses it doesn't automatically means he got "exposed" unless he was completely outclassed, got stopped badly, or showed lack of skill or stamina.
JMM lost to Bradley -Not exposed
Rios lost to Abril - Exposed (showed he could be easily outboxed)
Anyone agree or disagree?
the word "exposed" is used too freely on here. when a fighter loses oh he got exposed.
We've covered this in the thread already. It's not a conversation about a loss it's about a hype job being found to be not as good as he was promoted.
Alvarado had already lost by stoppage so how the fk was he 'exposed'?

Before the fight he got a lot of credit because of how he outboxed rios. Even his trainer admits this went to his head a bit and he forgot how he got to the top in the first place. He was a slugger for 32 fights before. I just thought his ability as a good boxer puncher was going to be exposed and it was.
In the same way as a lot of people at the time thought khan had an ok chin after the maidana fight. Actually I remember Richard Schaefer saying after khan had one of the best chins in boxing!

Exposed should be reserved for the hype jobs, the next big thing in the division, who then gets taken apart by someone they were expected to beat.
There have been a few of those.
They don't even have to be taken apart, they can lose a close fight and we still read the obnoxious "exposed" threads.
I think the only fighters who are genuinely exposed are those haven't actually beaten anyone good and due to having previously been protected against weak opponents they have literally been exposed to a higher level of competition.
I'm reading posts where people say Rios is going to get "exposed" against Pacquiao. How does anyone get the label when taking on an 8 division world champ/all time great? (question is rhetorical)
Rios was already exposed as a one dimensional brawler vs Abril.

Those were my thoughts exactly.
I'm interested to see how Kovalev develops too. I heard he got handled in sparring by Golovkin.
Not that it means too much but there's no smoke without fire as they say.

Brook to eat Senchenko's jab for several rounds before he gets inside and stops him late, wouldn't be surprised if it went the distance.
You have Senchenko winning or Brook?
