I imagine Ariza is laughing his ass off right now, but what do you guys think?

Neri, Pacquiao’s personal cook and conditioning trainer, attributed the fighter’s zest and energy to changes in his training regimen.
Neri added that he has junked the protein shake introduced by former conditioning trainer Alex Ariza, who has moved to the Rios camp, and is feeding Pacquiao his favorites like bulalo (bone marrow soup) and fried malasugue (Blue Marlin) or lapu-lapu.
Real food is always better than protein shakes.
Depends on what "real food" you're pertaining too. A lot of what people eat today isn't very healthy regardless of what the label suggests.
For instance, one serving of spinach 50 years ago would take about 40 servings today to get the same nutrients. Today's foods are really going down hill and that is why supplementation is very important.
I'm not suggesting you skip out on all foods but unless you are ingesting top quality foods like organics etc... you will actually need some form of supplementation to make up for the lack of nutrients the foods of today do not provide. Which is part of the reason so many people are becoming sick as they are not eating right, let alone exercise regularly..
Overall I do partially agree with you that real food is always better.. However one must be extremely knowledgeable in foods and dieting.
first off 12k calroies a day is an abosluet lie and nothing more than the media talking nonsense. don't you always hear these clowns talkign about "x" athlete being 3% BF or "x" athlete putting on 20 lbs of muscle?
12k calories a day....LMAO.
bro Pacquia owould start putting fat @ 3k calories a day. 7k on a little filipino guy 5'6 with a tiny tiny frame? LOL. people in complete denial about him. it would not suprised me one bit if they were using drugs since early in his carreer you will be very suprised at the drug usage all over sports.
RJJ is another juicer and was 100% juiced to the gills vs Ruiz and throughout his carreeer.
Pinoys don't just use synthetic testosterone or Memo peds, they use a special brand of A-side meth that enables them to bounce bullets off them and gorge unbelievable amounts of food on a 5'6" frame a 6'5" obese American gets nauseated from.
Protein shakes or good nutritious food are both good. Ariza is probably good at what he does but Pacquiao is a great fighter with or without him. Pacquiao can easily meat his protein needs with beef, chicken or fish or even cottage cheese. A pound of beef, fish or chicken has over 100 grams of protein. It sounds like Pacquiao eats a few pounds of these foods daily so he is getting a few hundred grams of protein a day which is more than his body needs anyway.Look at Bradley,s build and he trains on a strict vegetarian diet.
I'm wondering how many tubs of tofu and tempeh Bradley's liquifying to feed and build that PEDS enhanced look on his body.
Shakes are bullsh1t, just a waste of money
They're much cheaper than what Pac is eating though. Rios must be so jealous he can't pig out even at 147 when Pac is eating like an animal and still looks like a 135lber.
Michael Phelps famously had 12,000 calorie diet for his training and he weighs like 190lbs so why can't a 150lbs pacquiao (in training) do 7000? That doesn't seem too unbelievable to me. **** the average american probably eats 5000 and they don't even train :lol1:
You realize that most of those 12K calories were mostly just from the munchies.
Hes still going to drink protein shakes not just Aziras recipe.. Getting enough protien just off food will not work unless someone were to eat about 50lbs of meat a day.
Completely ditching protein shakes alltogether as a result of Ariza leaving is way over the top.
There's no benefit to doing that imo, just reduce it to one a day. It's a convenient way to get some protein in the system without having to constantly spend time eating.
I know jokes are made of Ariza but I don't think he had dodgy stuff going on, and Pac was at some of his best when he was most adhering to what Ariza had him doing. To move even further away from that still is amatuerish.
i think thats good for pacquiao. i always felt real food beats a shake any day of the week. i sometimes drink shakes myself but just out of convenience, a good meal is always a better option so pacquiao having a personal chef thats a good call.
his personal "chef" is this guy (Nonoy Neri), i don't think he has any background in nutrition. looks like pac just gave the job to a homeboy

food eats at your energy levels, and you gotta wait about 3 hours after a good meal before you can workout proper
otherwise, food is just as good
If you got diabeties maybe.

right...he was part of their team. him and roach said some BS about that.
anyone who knows about weight lifting and nutrition knows that complete hor****. 7k calories on a 140lb man...AHAHAHHAHh. Then Ariza keeps talking about "oh, Manny doesn't even know what he takes". "Manny just eats rice and beans'.
Their whole camp was lying their ass off and gave me serious suspicions (and i do believe they are using drugs till this day).
