Your a faboy..........
Whitaker did not get hit as much as Floyd, EVER. You are a fan boy. Name one punch you could continually hit Pea with? Not ONE. Whitaker had better legs, mabe the best in history as well. And on top of that, he faced the very best opposition to prove that point, fight in and fight out. Again, my point is proven by fights like Castillo 1, an over the hill De La Hoya, and an over the hill Cotto. Those were Floyd's toughest fights. WHY were they his toughest fights if he was a better defender than Whitaker? Do you think Cotto would've had Pea bleeding?? Absolutely not! You do remember that Pea faced a PRIME Oscar, right? So we know what he would've done to that version of Oscar. Castillo was a lesser version of his idol, Chavez. So, what do you think would've happened in a fight against Pea? He would've gotten SHUT OUT. I don't care that Floyd hand was hurt either. It's boxing and things happen. Point is, even with two hands on that night, he still would've lost. He lost that fight. He was out-thrown and landed.
Floyd mayweather of 2006/07 vs
Vs Tommy Hearns(1981)
Vs Pernell Whitaker(1993)
Vs Oscar de la hoya(1998)
Vs Manny pacquaio(2009)
Lose 12 rounds decision, 116-112 Hearns or 15 rounds lose by TKO late
Win Close Decision, 115-113 Mayweather
Win Close Decision or lose TKO
Same as above
Well, thanks for replying to me and repeating what I already said, I guess.
Nonetheless, the point remains that overall, despite what people think of the opposition, that Floyd has been hit cleanly less, hurt and dropped less and has shown defense that has been more consistent than Sweet Pea.
Exactly, my thing is...if Whitaker stopped showboating then his defense would have probably been equally as consistent but he liked to have fun.

You're making him out to be something he wasn't.

again, when you face lesser competition, you look tremendously better.
Pea faced much better competition. Of course he will be hit more and stunned more than a guy who is taking on people who don't belong in the same ring to begin with. that has nothing to do with the quality of defense, it's the quality of opposition.

Floyd has been in there against better fighters than Roger, Vasquez and McGirt, all fighters who have dropped Whitaker. I don't mind if your of the opinion that Whitaker was better defensively as that's a respectable opinion but don't back up that statement with stupidity. Now I expect to be put back on your ignore list because that's usually how it goes, jus' remember that you could never fuck with me.

Whitaker is the true greatest defensive fighter of all-time and had a better jab, better legs, and you couldn't hit him with ANYTHING. Not a jab, not to the body. People calling Floyd the greatest defensive fighter in history are young and dumb! Floyd is susceptible to a good jab. He gives you his body.

Oscar by close decision. Hearns by KO, Pac and Sweet Pea can go either way. Best case scenario Floyd goes 2-2. I think Whitaker would be the easiest (but still very tough) both were great defensivley but Floyd is better offensively. Idk about Pac-Floyd.

Floyd mayweather of 2006/07 vs
Vs Tommy Hearns(1981) hearns by KO
Vs Pernell Whitaker(1993) toss up
Vs Oscar de la hoya(1998) mayweather on points
Vs Manny pacquaio(2009) mayweather on points or late TKO
I know hearns would be a KO,
Floyd beat pernell 9 or more
Manny NTKO
Oscar beat him once, 2nd time would be like oscar on Shane, he out landed shane by 120+ shots landed, now who one
Floyd would never have been able to beat a prime Hearns, Whitaker. DeLaHoya and Pacquaio would have been a toss-up. Hearns had too much power, better reach and was much taller. Sweet pea had a more well-rounded defense. He didn't just use shoulder rolls like Floyd does.

floyd ducks them all exept sweetpea and losses to a decision ....
2009 Floyd would have done better, he looked like a solid WW. He was able to manhandle Mosley, Ortiz. I think Floyd would have fought Baldomir differently had he developed more into a WW, same goes for Oscar at 154. In 06/07 he was small for the division and could have easily made 140 in my opinion.
strange he got bigger and stronger as Testosterone drops in your 30's
Loses a wide UD to Hearns.
SD win against Sweet Pea
Clear UD against Oscar.
Stops Pac in the 8th or 9th round.
Floyd in 06 had power, speed, reflexes, boxing acumen, ring generalship, defense AND the ability to adjust.
Yet that was the same Floyd that was being booed in the 12th round against Baldomir!
He would do the same ..... fight a JWW that had 1 fight at WW and then pretend to retire .... then he would come back and say that he didn't have to fight them because they all lost a fight against each other.
