Can anyone fill me in or correct me on the specific reason why these guys still fight/want to fight? And don't give me that "there's a fire inside them that won't burn out" rubbish please. Thank you
JAMES TONEY : tax debt
RJJ : purses weren't enough to retire on ?
MARGARITO : wife left him
STEVE COLLINS : mid life crisis
HOLYFIELD : ......
RIDDICK BOWE : .........
SHANE MOSLEY : .........
Etc
You would think that roys salary with hbo would be comfortable though, but I think your right its not the money with Roy it's the quest for the eternal pat on the back and for his father to finally say "I love you son" or "I'm proud of to son"
Many of the bigger-name boxers live like Wall Street billionaires. Unlike a CEO or a trader however, these's no retirement, no residual income. You can't just get a well-paying private consulting gig or become a lobbyist at 45 as a retired boxer.
Once the money stops, it stops.

Holyfield has 523 kids. I honestly believe Mosley thinks he still has something left.
And my best guess is that when you're Roy Jones and you've heard all of the things about how great you are, and his type of personality...he's living in the past.
