He looked great at Light heavy imo.
He beats dawson, Stevenson, Hopkins and even my personal fave Kovelev. I predict that if he comes back he will go to light heavy and become world champ.
Anyone else agree?
He beats Dawson probably by stoppage too.
Stevenson & Kovalev I'd give a good chance to stop him.
B-Hop works him and takes a comfortable decision.
If he went upto light heavyweight I'd like to see take on a Cleverly, maybe an Eleider Alvarez or a gatekeeper to the world stage like Cloud.
I think Kessler is about done, hes been a decent champion and I always find it sad when they're at the tale end of their career. I wouldn't want to see him hang around much longer, one maybe two more fights and hang them up. I don't want to take nothing away from Froch but Kesslers lost a step IMO & that was another hard, hard fight. Kessler has mileage.
Kessler is too passed it to do much at LHW against the top competition.
You've got: who all probably beat him
Stevenson
Kovalev
Hopkins
Pascal
Dawson
Then the rest: who would be decent matchups
Cleverly
Grachev
Bute
Fonfara
Bellew
Erdei
Chilemba
Agreed, he probably loses to all the top fighters (some by KO) and probably goes life and death with some of the second tier light heavies.
Why not Robert Stieglitz vs Mikkel Kessler next?
Stieglitz's manager named 4 possible opponents: Sturm, Ward, Abraham and Chavez Jr.
Kessler is not in their plans.

There's no way Hopkins beats Kessler. None.
All Ward's holding kind of confused Kessler, he didn't know what to do. He's too nice also, B-Hop would take advantage of his better nature.
Kessler would be a great addition to light-heavy but I'm not sure he can beat Hopkins or Kovalev. Kovalev may well stop the Dane and Hopkins would smother him and win a 12 round decision.
It would be interesting to see how he does against the likes of Stevenson, Cloud, Pascal, Shumenov and who knows, maybe Bellew.
Kessler got dropped by Green at a catchweight, gassed against Cleverly in sparring (according to him). The money fights are at 168. I don't see him fighting at light-heavy.
At this point I'd pick him against Dawson who looks vulnerable, probably Stevenson too but I think Hopkins would defeat him as Kessler doesn't have much of an inside game.
