Figured I'd post this since there hasn't been much news recently about Garcia's next opponent but the WBA convention just happened and Khabib Allakhverdiev (WBA regular champion) has been ordered a fight with Danny Garcia (Super champ) Garcia-Khabib have 12 months to make to make the fight happen.
-Super Lightweight unified champion Danny Garcia has a year to defend against regular champion Khabib Allakhverdiev.
some other highlights:
-Cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones failed a doping test after his last defense against Denis Lebedev, but has claimed to have a negative B sample, which to date has not been substantiated. The championship committee will continue to analyze the situation before making a decision.
-Super Flyweight champion Liborio Solis will face interim champ Daiki Kameda in December.
-Light Flyweight “Super” Champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez is rumored as of yesterday, (October 15th) to be vacating his title and will request to become the mandatory challenger to WBA regular Flyweight champ Juan Carlos Reveco.

I'm going to get crucified for this but Khabib will beat Danny IMO. This is going to be Danny's toughest test and if he beats Khabib, kudos to him.

If the fight gets signed, let's just hope King Khabib is better than King Khan and Matthysse. I'm kinda doubtful that's the case after watching a few youtube videos.
We'll see, it's not out of the realm of possibility this fight happens :boxing:
Danny would be favourite but this guy will give him some trouble.
Any Garcia fan should know not to underestimate the underdog.
I agree
Is Khabib with TR or he just fight under them when he gets a chance?

He's with Top Rank, he actually hasn't even had an official fight with them yet on one of their cards (last fight was a mandaory in Monaco) He was supposed to fight Presscot originally when Crawford stepped in and took his place
I reapect Khabib. I saw him come down here and whip Guzman and they tried to cheat him.
He's a solid fighter but this will never happen. More likely Garcia vacates and Khabib fights Mayfield.
I think Khabib is fighting Mayfield next but that will happen way before this would supposed to take place. Actually last I heard I believe there were talks to have him fight on Rigo's next undercard if I'm not mistaken.

Crazy dumb funny sig, lmmfao!
We might see a quite a few of those next year. Russel Jr becoming Salido-Lomachenko's mandatory already and this.
I've been telling a couple of my friends for months now that Khabib is the guy to beat Danny. Book it.
Khabib TKO 9, IMO.:boxing:Khabib doesn't hit hard enough and he complains a lot when you go to his body. He is a decent boxer with fast hands but he can be hit. He's beaten two old men and somehow has snuck in to get a title shot because of Kostya Tszyus name probably.
Danny will beat his ass if they fight.

I understand and acknowledge that. I told you I have nothing but respect for Danny. There was a point where he hasn't went to war, didn't beat the odds, didn't win any belts, or hadn't had his heart, chin or ring IQ proven you know, everyone starts from somewhere, no one magically gets born with some incredible resume and has taken out all of the top dogs in the division.
Khabib has only had 19 fights and his come up is right now, he doesn't have a resume yet. He may not be swimming in the same ocean as Danny right now but nothing changes the fact that he's his mandatory and he's on the map now, he will go into that fight with a chip on his shoulder just like how you think Danny went into the fight with Lucas.
I think Khabib will beat Danny. This whole "everyone said he will get KTFO'd and thought he was the huge underdog yet he proved the haters wrong" against Matthysse has nothing to do with a potential fight between Danny-Khabib and Khabib's career, heart, chin or ring IQ. Nor was I one of the people who said Danny is going to get folded in round 1.

he won the vacant WBA belt against a guy coming off a long layoff. Danny went to war and beat the odds for his belts. Everything about Danny is proven. His heart, his chin, his ring IQ, his power, his timing.. Khabib ain't even swimming in the same ocean as Danny Garcia.

Lol obviously but Khabib is the WBA regular champ as well which is why he's the mandatory for Danny and will either be fighting him around this time next year, or fighting (or taking) his vacant belt.
I agree with what you're saying about Danny. But I think Khabib is a more skilled boxer then Matthysse and can fight on his back foot plus coming forward. Personally I thought Mattyhsse was getting a bit overrated on here after his KO against Peterson, but that's just me. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Judah was the first true southpaw that Danny fought and although Danny won convincingly, Judah gave him some fits towards the end of the fight and if I remember correctly, I think he had Danny a bit hurt towards the later rounds. Khabib is younger, fresher and more hungry then old man Judah at this point. He's also got a good chin and don't underestimate his trainer, he is very smart when it comes to boxing and he also knows how to make adjustments and I'm sure he'll have Khabib 100% ready if this fight happens.

WBC and Ring > IBO
This.
Danny brings something new to each fight. He becomes a more complete fighter every day. Before the Judah fight, people didn't think much of Danny's right hand, then Danny turned his legs to jelly numerous times with the straight right. When Danny fought Matthysse, we saw him throw head-body-head combo's better than Canelo's. He also showed better head movement than most people thought he was capable of.

Khabib's got fast hands, great footwork and can slip punches a lot better then Matthysee.
