I had a feeling that this situation would arise if Marquez lost. He would say he won, Bradley would be called boring, and Marquez would be called the whiner.
I couldn't have come any closer to a thought like this. I love both fighters so I'm going to refrain from commenting on each guy personally.
The only thing that I will say about this fight is that Bradley won in my book, and that Marquez is still a formidable opponent.
Marquez was just too slow for Tim. Marquez was not getting tagged, he was getting shoe shined. You can't slug with Marquez. Bradley executed a terrific game plan. Marquez had his moments, but you have to nail Tim to the floor to beat him.
Imo Tim was not motivated for Provodnikov, but he was for Marquez.
Motivation always plays a big part in fights. Not all of the time, but imo....in these two fights it did. The greats can pick themselves up even when they are not motivated and still win.
This poster is conceited. He is talking about the TS, and what he needs...and has never even met the man.
Talking of himself in third person. True sign of unforgiveable narcissism.
I think what he meant to say was, why you gave all of the close rounds to Marquez? I think he was, like most, was giving the champion the close rounds.
I gave the close rounds to jmm because i thought he won them,, nothing more
Thats is why im not saying jmm won or should have won,,, i thought he won all the close rounds and he only got a draw,, common sense in me tells me that if one of the close ones goes to bradley he would be the winner,, and thats how the judges had it,, I cant make a case for jmm winning, only a draw
I dont care who is champion or anything like that, i score rounds based on who i thought won the round,, no bias no homo
Thread starter is a narcissist, needing the voice inside his head to be validated online. :crucifiedThis poster is conceited. He is talking about the TS, and what he needs...and has never even met the man.
Lmao!! Beat me to it, switch the topic to who has the better resume, Floyd or jmm and the shiiit talking will begin lol.
But why would we switch the topic? :pat:
I think Bradley was motivated for both fights but in boxing styles make the fights. Provo made Bradley fight the way he did, him saying he did it for respect is BS. When he gets tagged, he goes haywire and defends himself. If Marquez was the guy who came at him non stop like that, the same thing would have ensued. That's just not Juan's thing.
Juan's thing is to sit back and counter aggressive fighters, that's why he loses to boxers when he is forced to make the first move.
Juan's other thing is to complain and cry robbery when he loses close decisions.Good post. But...
Bradley didn't have to fight Provodnikov the way that he did. Prov's pressure wasn't that great. In that fight Prov was being easily outboxed at times. I don't think Bradley fought that way for fans respect, but he did to get Prov's respect otherwise he would've been ran over. Prov got Bradley to trade. Prov got Bradley to fight his fight, and he did...and almost won or drew.
Imo Bradley could've boxed for 12 rounds and won. The only thing that I'll say is that when Bradley did get caught, he was forced into a fight that he didn't have to fight so Prov gets props for that. I don't think that Bradley thought that Prov it that hard until he got caught.
I've seen Prov get outboxed even in fights that he's won. You can box Prov. Bradley made a decision to trade. Wrong decision. But, when you do trade, that is a way to get a fighter to take the foot off of the gas. If Prov and Bradley rematch, I expect an easier fight for Bradley.
You only love Marquez for the Pacquiao fights lmao.
Lmao!! Beat me to it, switch the topic to who has the better resume, Floyd or jmm and the shiiit talking will begin lol.
I dont care about who is champion and who is challenger,,, that should have no basis in how you score,,,,,
like i said before, i gave jmm rounds 1,3,9,10,11,12,,,, had it a draw, but i can see how bradley won the fight,
I couldnt make a case for jmm winning the fight,, bradley controlled the middle rounds with his jab,,, jmm had no answer for it

So...you gave the CHALLENGER the close rounds? Whatever happened to BEATING the CHAMPION?

I like damn near every fighter,,,
I thought bradley vs jmm was a classic matchup
JMM had a great career but its bradley's time right now,,
close fight, tough to score,, I had jmm winning 1,3,9,10,11,12 and had it a draw,, but i gave him every close round,,
Bradley winning is good decision
i tip my hat to both guys

Bradley won a split decision over a 40 year old, and you think he beats Matthysse and Garcia??? LMAO!! Either one of these guys can re-injure Bradley's brain and make him retire. The short right across Matthysse's left eye is what cost him the fight against Garcia, otherwise, he would have been more competitive. He's a dangerous fighter with knockout power. Garcia can be hit, but he takes a mean punch and has good power himself.I don't think the fight should've been a split decision. Bradley clearly won.
Bradley is more than capable of easily beating Garcia.
Don't even put Matthysse into the mix.
Stone Cold Trippin'!
tim made me an even bigger fan because he showed he is top level, great movement and great speed. he is all around great, and i think he beats lucas and danny.

:haha::haha::haha: floyd ko marquez, lmfao.....
How come Marquez Morales never got it in? Let me guess, Marquez turned the fight down or asked for too much money.
The only times I didn't root for Marquez was against Norwood, John, and Floyd.
Hell, I felt the same way about Marquez in this fight that I felt about the Floyd fight...only I was praying that Floyd didn't ko Marquez.
:haha::haha::haha: floyd ko marquez, lmfao.....
Oh thats why u didnt say anything?? I thought maybe u had a personal emergency or something... whew.. I havent slept since saturday night because you have been silent this whole time. Finally some closure! You can now get the rest that you need. I'm here.
Your right,, bradley's jab was the key,, i think tim's jab didnt allow jmm to set up shop and unload his combos,, it wasnt till the last 4 rounds when bradley stopped using the jab and was just moving, that jmm had his best success,, the jab was the key to the fight and helped bradley control the middle rounds..
JMM just doesnt have the footspeed to track guys down,,Good post. Marquez is 40 years young lol. He tried his best. Bradley started by jabbing and moving, bent over and circled, rushed in threw a big right, and got out of Dodge- and ended everything with the jab. Even when Marquez landed, Bradley looked to come right back. Marquez couldn't even admire his work.
Marquez just didn't have the footwork or hand speed needed to catch up to Bradley. Age was a big factor. Marquez wants to box a lil bit and slug nowadays.
Even 5 years ago this is a better fight.
