Floyd fought the better version, but the best version of Marquez at 147 was the one that out boxed Pacquiao in the 3rd fight. As much as I like Bradley, and you guys know I'm a big fan of his...I don't think he would have beaten that Marquez.
The version Mayweather fought was moving up 3 weight divisions and hadn't started working w/Heredia.
The version of JMM Bradley fought had more experience at 147 than Bradley did and was coming off the biggest win of his career.
Even JMM acknowledged himself after the fight that Floyd won & Floyd was the best fighter he ever fought. JMM had no such words for Bradley last night. Also Marquez never made any excuses about weight after the fight, he knew Floyd was over by 2 pounds before the fight ever started. He still showed up to fight. So anyone else talking about it is just a hater. PERIOD
He also acknowledged that Chris John won, in the after-fight interview, although he also said he "thought it was close", and that John was "an excellent boxer. But I suppose that whilst he was travelling home, he re-thought it..... That was OK because John would never hear anything about that, whilst Mayweather and he lived comparatively close, and they'd be bumping into one another.
Bradley. He fought him after Marques was coming of the best win of his career. Floyd made him jump up 2 weight classes and still cheated him on the scales.
This!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only that but Bradley was coming off a whooping from Pac and from the russian, he won both but they were wars
Floyd didnt give a **** about the weight and came in a monster vs the overweight JMM back then
I would say Timmy, simply because he didn't pull Marquez from 135, then proceed to cheat him on the scales.
Mayweather defeated the better fighter, but Timmy had the "better" win.
Lol the fact that anybody would compare the mayweather fight is insane. Marquez actually dazed Bradley and more power punches than him too. Marquez couldn't touch mayweather.
Floyd fought a fresher, but weight compromised jmm.
Tim fought an older, but more peak condition jmm.
In context & circumstance, edge goes to Tim. But Floyd boxed a masterpiece with his comeback fight.
The Mayweather fight had Marquez at a greater disadvantage. Marquez has not been noticeably worse due to age. He boxes smarter, if not as agile. In the Mayweather fight he was only 2 fights removed from being a Junior Lightweight, the year beore. He was slow and flabby as were noticed by the commentators.
Going from 130 to 147 is a huge jump roughly a 15% weight increase. The extra $600,000 soothed Marquez's money hunger, but it made Mayweather's preparation very much easier than it should have been.
Yeah I agree. JMM in better shape versus Tim but older.
My first reaction is Tim, but after considering the age factor and the ease of Floyd's victory, you may be right...
Floyd fought a 36 year old Marquez. Bradley fought a 40 year old Marquez. Floyd shut him out. Bradley won 115-113 on one scorecard and lost 113-115 on another scorecard.
Marquez has gotten better with age though. At 36 he was making a meal of shot Casa and Juan Diaz, at 40 he's knocking out rightful WBO WW champ who he couldn't drop much younger.

Floyd made Marquez look like a C+ fighter he basically pitched a shutout and made Marquez look like he didn't deserve to be in the same ring In my opinion a similar performance would be Rigo vs Donaire
Bradley grinded out a win I gave him 7 rounds but it wasn't a overwhelming performance, great win . did what he had to do but it was a competitive fight and Marquez was in it the whole fight.
I voted Mayweather's win was much better. Mayweather won just about every round and scored a knock down. Bradley won a close split decision and scored no knock down. Floyd beat a four year younger Marquez. Bradley beat a Marquez that was more used to fighting at that weight but still Mayweather won by a far bigger margin than Bradley did.
Marquez was 40 and slower then ever when Bradley fought him.Floyd fought a 36 year old Marquez who was sharper then he is now.So I doubt Bradley fought the better version.
JMM had gotten used to the weight, he wasn't going up 2 divisions eating tacos and throwing rocks. You could see the flab on him, he was in better shape physically here. Also, he was coming off a hard fight vs Diaz at LW, where he seemed outmuscled by pudgy "natural" LW Diaz. Here he was coming off a huge win over rightful WBO welter champ
