No simple answer.
Serious question, I have no idea. I know who I don't wanna see. And apthats khan. But honestly what are his options, here's not much out there at all for him.
Alexander is far deserving than Khan for the May 3rd date against Mayweather, if he's ordered to face Brook early next year and beat him.
As for Khan, he might end up calling out Peterson for a rematch (again), Khan is still the best option for Mayweather but he needs at least a big win to sell their fight, it was easier if Khan-Alexander was made.

everybody seems to be missing the main point. Floyd will be fighting khan in may. because khan cant fight in September because khan is muslim and Ramadan wouldn't allow khan to train in august. that's why amir fights in the spring or winter all the time. so if Floyd doesn't fight khan in may, their will be no khan fight in 2014 period and Floyd isn't gonna miss out on that us/uk money.
Now with all that being said, I want to see pacquiao in may. I want to see Bradley in September. Garcia in may 2015. broner last fight September 2015
but its gonna be khan in may. Bradley in September. pacquiao in may 2015. tba in September 2015
I'd like to see Danny Garcia but I don't think that's going to happen.
Ideally the Khan-Alexander winner would have been fine but looks like that's off now.
How would maidana earn a shot just by beating broner? Lol broner has a better resume than maidana
cause then they can sell the mayweather getting revenge angle. plus it would be a welterweight unification
...champions
Bradley vs marquez winner.....if tim wins he deserves it....if marquez wins a rematch is cool since Floyd came in overweight.....or Sergio Martinez @154 since he said he can make weight
There's other ways to generate revenue. I don't think they would do it but here's what I would do. I would put it on CBS network TV and charge advertisers a boat load. I don't know if they could generate 150 mil but Floyd for free on network TV is an easy sell.
pacquiao is the only guy that has a decent shot at beating mayweather. hand speed, combos and the ability to fight 12 hard rounds, mayweather would definately have his work cut out and i honestly think amir khan gives mayweather more trouble than most people think, he would have reach and hand speed over flloyd, 2 things he relys heavily on. flloyd hasnt really got 1 punch ko power either but im sure he could drop khan with a sustained attack.
No one... he beats everyone from Welterweight and below. Since he's out there to make money, he won't fight the lesser known threats such as Lara and Trout. Maybe he could go for Sergio Martinez or even Golovkin (if he proves himself more!) but that is unlikely to happen because he doesn't want to fight naturally bigger guys. I don't blame him, not everyone is Roberto Duran.
As someone said, it's difficult because we all want to see him in a competitive fight. The logical answer would be Danny Garcia because he's the man right now at 140 and he's gonna be moving up, but many have deemed that a non-competitive fight. It doesn't help Showtime that they are paying Floyd at least 32 mill a fight, so they are definitely looking for him to fight another PPV attraction.
I'd like to see him fight Trout or Lara next, but neither will probably happen because I can't see those fights catching on with the casual fans. Money wise, the option that makes the most sense for May is Amir Khan (although I think Floyd will win fairly easily). Let's see what happens.
How would maidana earn a shot just by beating broner? Lol broner has a better resume than maidana
Well, I was just mentioning Maidana as a possibility because Floyd has very little to choose from at the moment. Those are the 4 top realistic choices currently. But in order from likely to least likely is Khan, Garcia, Alexander, Maidana.
I agree with Timothy Bradley if he defeats JMM this Saturday or the winner of Khan vs Alexander if that fight happens which doesn't seems very likely at the moment!
But Khan should not get a "Free Pass Go Directly To Mayweather" Card, he has to fight somebody GOOD at 147 first at least a Top 10 Current Welterweight First! Fight Robert Guerrero? Kelly Brook? how about Diego Chaves? All are available, for him to just sit back until May 2014 and get a unearned shot a Mayweather would be a JOKE!
That's true and by that standard the best choices are Danny Garcia or the winner of Bradley/Marquez. The latter won't happen for obvious reasons. And the former...I'm not sure Danny is ready for the fight. He doesn't seem as if he's keen in it just yet.
He should fight Garcia at 147 or Martinez or Cotto at 154. All three can easily be made and all would be decent fights.
Pacquiao, Martinez, or Golovkin. Not really interested in any other fights.
Those three, Cotto rematch, Bradley, Khan or Thurman for me.
Barker at a catchweight would be a good fight but Barker's tied up.
No Alexander, Garcia or anything boring. I watch this sport to be entertained.
He's his own boss and theoretically should be able to choose whoever he sees fit. I mean who hasn't called the guy out? People aren't exactly avoiding the guy.
If its Khan next, smdh.
Nah, he who pays the piper calls the tune - that's Showtime.
Of the choices at 147 and 140, I'd like Garcia to get his deserved shot.
Garcia doesn't even sound like he wants the shot.
Well it definitely won't be Pacquiao or Bradley since their both with Top Rank. It's pretty much between Khan, Maidana if he beats Broner, Alexander, or Danny Garcia if he moves up to Welterweight. One of those 4 is getting the fight in May. Keith Thurman, if he stays undefeated will get a Floyd fight in 2015. If I had to guess Floyd's last 4 fights in order will be Khan, Garcia, Thurman & Bradley.
