Not really relevant. Teenager Vitali being put down by leg kick (seems like trolling).
As for Sanders fight he never lost his legs. When he was hit flash he remain perfectly orientated and he ran across the ring.
Man's chin is amazing.
Vitali is definitely the better of the two in terms of chin, power and grit but I think Wlad does the subtle things better, the faints, the short hooks and the jab. H2H Vitali would probably stop Wlad late but the fact is, Wlad has faced the better opposition, especially over the last 2 years or so, with the only stand out on Vit's resume being Chisora.
That day might come if we will be able to see a 43 years old Vitali Klitschko beating David Haye.
I believe vitali has tried to fight people who could test him, he did sign to fight Haye in 08 before Haye *****ed. He tried to fight valuev, he was signed to fight Rahman before injuries forced his long lay off. All of these fights (which I think vitali would have won comfortably) would have enhanced his legacy. There is a lot of bad luck regarding vitali, it's like his fight against solis, it's not his fault that solis twisted his knee while being knocked down. But he now gets no credit for the win, he was there, in shape and ready to fight.
Vitali will always be one of the biggest what ifs? He had all the tools, size, strength, chin, power and one of the most awkwardly effective styles in the history of heavyweight boxing. At his peak his timing was as good as anyone's in the sport. I truly believe that if he wouldn't have suffered from injuries, he would have dominated the division, beating Ruiz (WBA), Brewster (wbo), rematching and beating Byrd (IBF). But it didn't happen. Yes he came back and won a belt and has dominated his (limited) opposition since, but we will never have the definitive proof of his true greatness.

He was hurt for 10 seconds and wasn't tkoed at all. Vitali has never been knocked down in his boxing career. Sanders got smashed for the last 6 rounds of the fight you forgot to mention...

He clearly shone better against 3 opponents of Wlad that all but had Wlad out on his feet in Sanders.. Peter & Purity. He beatdown all 3 fighters in emphatic fashion while Wlad had all sorts of problems with them.. Yes Wlad handled Byrd easier than Vitali but that's because Vitali was fighting injured against Byrd & didn't complete there fight.
So I find it funny how fans think that Wlad has fought better opposition... even if he has.. it's clear as day Vitali would fare just as well & better against certain foes that give his brother trouble.
Povetkin for instance would've been a cakewalk for Vitali.. he'd just be coming in aggressively & getting tagged on the way out by various punches from every angle in the book. His face would've shown the same wear & tear & he would've been Tko'ed without ever being wrestled or tied up.
Vitali eats fighters like that for breakfast.. don't let the Chisora fight fool you as he fought basically without his vaunted jab for 80% of the fight. Chisora would've been stopped otherwise coming in as aggressively as he was.... he wasn't getting hit by jabs & this is why he managed to stick around for all 12 rds.
Chisora got even hurt in the 9th or 10th round I think.
I think Vitali was "close to being put down" in the Corrie Sanders fight in fact he WAS put down. He was rocked and thrown to the ground, Vitali was hurt

The forum elevates Wlad & his resume so they can intentionally tear down Vitali's legacy. Vitali has clearly been the fighter with less weaknesses in the ring but Wlad gets a by on his resume & he's had more fights. Vitali is easily the more quality fighter & harder to beat sans injury & being cut.
Vitali has stood by & let his brother shine by getting the majority of the belts. Real fans know that it's Vitali & NOT Wladimir that would've unified all the belts if they were ever to fight each other. It's actually Wladimir that has cost Vitali's resume not to be up to par. Vitali has let Wlad shine knowing full well he's the better fighter & fans here on the forum go & trash Vitali's resume while acknowledging Wlad as higher on the alltime list.
I totally agree with you!
Thank You. Somebody needed to say it.
Lest you all forget; it was the elder, grittier Klit what had to put the smack down on a golfer cause Wladdie couldn't get it done.

Some here i. This forum called me an idiot when I was telling that Vitali is the true #1...

He was pushed to the ground after Sanders threw a punch.... it was correctly NOT ruled a knockdown... any other fighter would've been legitimately knocked down after being caught by a sneaky short left & subsequent punches by Sanders. His brother got caught with the same exact punches & landed on the canvas 4 times. He was briefly stunned because he didn't see the punch that rocked him... once he saw the punches coming & started timing Sanders it was one of the most viscious beatdowns he's ever administered.
If by now you can't tell the difference between both brothers then you haven't been paying attention. One wants to inflict damage but ONLY if there's no incoming fire while the other inflicts damage regardless of what kind of heat his opponent is bringing.

I was so happy I watched Lewis-Vitali earlier in the day before Wlad-Povetkin. That was an actual fight. I'll stick by what I've always said, prime for prime Vitali messes Wlad up badly.
