Pacquaio beating the three Mexican greats Barrera,Morales and Marquez twice each.
FMJ beating the undefeated Corrales,Hatton,Alvarez with ease.
Which is the greater achievement?
At this point, Floyd has passed Pacquiao on the ATG list. Pacquiao has done very little with the last 3-4 years of his career while Floyd has increased his activity. Not every place is a cesspool of delusion like NSB is, most other boxing forums seem to rate Floyd higher than Pac at this point. Public opinion has swung very favorably towards Floyd compared to 09/10 as evidenced by that ESPN Sportsnation Poll that ranked Floyd as a Top 5 ATG in the eyes of casuals. If "everyone will remember Fraud is a ducking coward" like so many of the Manny fanboys on here want to desperately believe, would the casuals be ranking Floyd as a Top 5 ATG? I don't think so.
One guy's fight just broke the PPV and Live Gate record, the other is fighting on Zou Shiming's undercard in friggin China. To quote Floyd, "You can't eat legacy."
Pacquiao has essentially run out of opponents. He's also had a longer career and bigger names.
Mayweather, while doing spectacular right now, is running out of solid HOF and ATG names to put underneath his belt.
Pacquiao secured his lead from 2003-2011. Mayweather's inactivity lost him legacy-wise, when we look back 20 years from now. Honestly - what good names does Mayweather have left to put under his belt?
Are you fcuking retarded? Do you know about weight classes? Lateef Kayode KO1 Corrales, Alvarez.
LOL dont take him seriously..cant you see he's trolling
What do you think would happen if Mayweather fought guys like Barrera or Morales? The fight would be a ****ing joke. Mayweather would KO those guys at the lower weights.
Can your really compare Morales or Barrera to someone like Corrales or Alvarez? Legacy wise they are good but in terms who is harder to beat then they are complete ****. Corrales would KO them both.
Mayweather = Much tougher fights
Manny = Good names

Fight number 2 was 32-32 with the remainder a draw. Fight 3 was 57-51 for Marquez, so yes you're wrong on both accounts. The majority did not see Marquez winning the 2nd fight, nor did the 'overwhelming' majority have fight 3 for Marquez whatsoever.
I have it at 2-2 with pac taking the first 2 and Jmm taking the 3rd and 4th. Fight 2 was close but the deciding factor was the kd that pac scored on Jmm. If not for a scoring error Pac would have officially won their first fight.
Barrera > Corrales > Hatton > JMM(even with no clear decisive win over JMM) > Canelo > Morales
Those Morales wins are overrated as hell. The dude was done, lost 4 in a row including 2 to Manny. I'd put the JMM wins ahead but I didn't have JMM losing two of those fights at all. IMO, I don't even know if he lost one.
The MAB win is the best of the bunch but I'd put Floyd slightly ahead on this one
Hatton and canelo were both the product of smart matchmaking. Also, hatton was not that great really. His signiture win is over a semiretired well past prime Tzysu. Canelo, we still don't know how good he really is or is not. Pacs wins much better.
can't you say the same thing for morales??
why shi5 on hatton's win but not pac's

that's the 3rd your on about, just checked boxrec
2nd fight is 32-32
I thought fightscore had threads on both that showed the press row scoring. Well then I was wrong. So I will amend what I posted with this information.
The writers/media had the 2nd fight a draw and the slight majority had JMM winning the third. WHile that makes things closer we still have floyd with 3 clear victories and Manny with 2 disputed ones-just not as disputed to the degree that I originally said.
It still comes down to the JMM wins.
the press row scoring in both fights had JMM winning I believe. If you show me I am wrong, I will freely admit it. The 2nd fight was 57-51- 36 (draws). The 3rd fight was significantly higher. If you have a problem with the words I used, I dont give a fvck.
I neve used the word robbery nor implied it, so stop taking what I said to the extreme to argue it back down to the middle.
Sorry, but I see it differently. Manny's wins score higher on the name recognition scale, no question. But beating the shell of a once great fighter in erik and winning 2 questionable victories over JMM (again the unbiased, objective meda scores not made up NSB polls) does not exceed what floyd did.

2nd fight is 32-32
i could never understand how so many had marquez winning the second or screamed robbery though, close fight an all, but pacquiao won it
although mexicans are extremely nationalistic

The former obviously. Hatton was a 140lber and Alvarez was light on resume and catch-weighted.
Alvarez was 22 yrs old and he made 153 against Trout. All he had to do was loose 1lb more than he did in his last fight and then he could hydrate up to 169 against a ****ing welterweight who can still fight at light welterweight. Dumbass
Pacquiao and its not even close. Canelo, hatton, and corralles dont even belong in the same sentence as morales, barrera, and marquez. Being undefeated doesnt mean ****, it just means uve been matched well throughout ur career.
Mayweathers resume is weak and has always been about who he DIDNT fight.
Really Barrera was not in his prime? because he was on the best winning run of his career.. had beaten Morales and Hamed with ease..and was the #2 p4p
Not only that but also in the manner of how he won. Barrera's corner man had to jump in the ring while crying in order to stop the onslaught.
You have no proof for your statements regarding opinions on Pacquaio vs Marquez. You claim overwhelming majority with no proof. Shall I link you the press scores, or are tou only willing to make statements that agree with your point of view?
The victories Pacquaio ovet Marquez are exactly that, they are not even close to an example of a robbery, that would be Bradley vs Pacquaio. This discussion is essentiallu a rhetorical question, the answer in thos situation can only be Pacquaio, to argue different is ridiculous.

Morales was after Raheem beat him. Manny beat 4-7 morales not 48-2 morales. Canelo was clearly in over his head. Barrera wins are great, as are corrales and hatton streak enders.
Depends on how you view the JMM wins. Manny got both official judgements, but most writers/media had JMM winning both fights, especially the third where the overwhelming majority had JMM winning. All of floyd's wins were clear and dominant, and Corrales was slightly favored to win.
If you believe manny won both JMM fights I'd say the accomplishments are equal. If not, then its hard to argue beating those 3 undefeated fighters isn't better than going 4-2 in 6 fights, all of which you were favored to win.

If you go off the question asked alone...I'd have to say Manny, but that's because Rickey Hatton's name automatically deducts 1000 points from any argument.
Just another thread to fuel the animosity between the factions.
