I seen a lot of people accuse him as the reason why the Floyd/Canelo fight was boring, but I thought the complete opposite. Canelo was doing absolutely nothing in that fight. Floyd just pounded away on him & blocked most of Canelo's shots. It's not Floyd's fault that Canelo didn't know what to do in the fight.
I thought it was a good fight,but not what was billed..Alvarez stone hands(lol),I mean he's a good puncher..I'm just saying,stone hands..
Alvarez did not dare to be great against Mayweather..He did not really push to win the fight imo..Which took a lil something away for me personally..
I can understand that. I felt Canelo should've stopped trying to box Floyd after the 5th or 6th round. He didn't. That's when Floyd really pulled away and it was no longer competitive. Canelo should've tried something different in that second half of the fight.
Why do "boxing" fans call that fight boring? I enjoyed it.

I mean what was Alvarez's game plan??To outbox a master boxer??Alvarez was completely not ready, and Ortiz Hatton Hoya Cotto, hell even Mosley all put on more creditable performances then that display..
Alvarez had the wrong Game Plan, and was cool with just hearing the final bell..He took no risk, and tbh should take the full blame for the fight not leaving up to the billing..

Agreed...Plus Canelo has 15-20lbs on Floyd and still was scared to push the action even against a guy 15lbs smaller than him.
Floyd was just fighting smart. It was Canelo who should have taken alot more risks.
You know what? Floyd stunk that fight up. It really was boring. He made zero effort to press the action. He could have ko'd Nelo if he wanted to but he just playd safety first. I'm not buting another Floyd fight unless he moves up to middleweight or fights manny.
He's the promoter, matchmaker, manager, trainer and competitor of boring fights! So he's to blame!!! He has the public believing that his style of boxing is a top level boxing style.
He is a terrific counrt mover and puncher with good defensive skills because he doesn't punch in combination anymore in fear of getting hurt! He throws one or two shots then bails out weither theres punches being returned or not. He fights opponents who fight just like he does except his skill level is far above theirs! He makes sure that he avoids anyone who brings a high work rate to the ring (Pacman) thats not to say he can't win against but he avoids the best challengers because he's learned that smart business is better for him than real opposition. P)lus he's dooped his fans into thinking he's a complete action fighter when the facts are he's NOT! :bottle: bottle fed his fans very nicely! Ray.
but the shoulder roll and quick reflexes doe
Floyd could have stopped Baldo. He had him cut within 2 or 3 rounds. But the way he just started running and jabbing. I think that is the first time in Floyd's career where he jabbed and ran like that. He normally counterpunches and capitalizes on mistakes. Against Baldo, the way he went from dominating to jabbing, makes me think he had a hand injury. He had to, just based on how his gameplan changed in a split second. He jabbed Oscar as well in the same way, but Oscar was much bigger and Floyd was just jumping to that class.
Pretty sure he hurt his hand in the Baldomir fight, he hit him with everything but the kitchen sink through the first 6 7 rounds then he hurt his hand and came to the conclusion I have this won why press further I am probably not going to stop him anyway.
Baldomir is a tough dude though, so I think Floyd stopping Baldomir was pretty dicey under the best of conditions for Floyd.
And yea the second half of the Baldomir fight and the Oscar fights are two of the few where Floyd was really evasive with his legs.
Just for the record
Canelo never been knocked out and a bigger man
Guerrero never been knocked out
Cotto got stopped twice but the way Floyd fights is not really the way to stop Cotto
Ortiz got stopped by Floyd taking advantage of a glaring mistake
Mosley never got stopped
JMM never got stopped
Hatton he knocked him out
Oscar not an easy guy to knock out when in decent condition
Baldomir not an easy guy to knock out
Judah probably was on his way to getting stopped when the bullshit occured
Really how many of those dudes are just easy marks to stop, with the exception of Judah he stopped the ones he should have really.

If Floyd had devastating power , you would ALL be bowing down to the greatest fighter that ever lived and nobody would deny it , he has everything , take away power and the casual fan sees very little else , Floyd is for real its just a pity he is so far above the average TV fans comprehension .
Floyd is a tragic example of just being too good , its tragic for fans to not be able to appreciate what it takes to be this good .
i know man floyd is tooo good, hell he dint even have to fight the best, he just picked his own opponents. he so good he even retired when things were boiling.
Floyd sucks. Boring fighter. What more can one say!
Because of your inability to look at any thing concerning Floyd objectively, your opinion means less than nothing. What more can one say!

im impressed, you hit the nail right in the head my friend.

Nobody is denying that he's a great boxer. That can't be argued. He's just not entertaining. He plays it too safe and does just enough to win on points without going the extra mile to close the show when he indeed can. Watching a fighter throw 1 pig willy punch at a time for 12 rounds isn't my idea of an entertaining fight.
What makes you so sure that he could have KO'd/TKO Canelo or any other past opponents that he couldn't KO'd/TKO? Floyd can barely KO welterweights, but you think he should have taken more risk and threw everything but the kitchen sink against an undersized middleweight. I don't even know why you like to bring up Manny. Floyd and Manny are completely two different fighters who operates differently inside the ring. Manny is naturally a harder and better puncher than Floyd.
Cause just once, attempt to win in great fashion.
Dont win like a bitch. yes you boxed nicely but thats it, you didnt win anyfans off your performance. Poeple who like floyd like him cause he black and or still undeafeated. No one says damn I need to see him fight again lol.
just like jim lampley says "ive been wathcing covering boxiner over 25 years my best fight I have seen is morales vs barrera two guys who are techinician but are willing to put themselves out their to win big" parapharsing of course.
People who like floyd are either black or because he's undefeated....... You sir are a dumb****
Its because Floyd had the kid outclassed yet still chose to play it safe and due just enough to win a points decision.
The way I see it is, if you have the ability to go the extra mile to give the paying fans their money's worth then why not? For 12 rounds it was just 1 punch at a time and even took the 12th rounds off to run around the ring. It was as if Floyd was playing an elusive game of "tag your it"

what do you expect, it's floyd the most boring boxer of all time.
are you expecting a war with floyd in it? :lol1:
floyd looks good to a fan boy like you but the truth is he's boring as hell. i'd say it's more exciting to watch a geigo commercials than his pitty pats and potshots. canelo didn't even perspire fighting floyd.
pathetic...
First time I've ever a seen a 'Feint-Off' instead of a boxing Match.
Shit was pathetic. Both deserve criticism.
This is not true. Floyd took risk, he pressed the attack from the opening round. He stood in the pocket the entire fight, until the final 30 seconds of the 12th round. Floyd KOing Canelo is not realistic. Floyd is a ww with a light punch, and Canelo is a tough middle weight. Yet Floyd walked him down from the 3rd round on. Floyd was tough. He took some good shots from the bigger man, and he was HURT, but he hid it so Canelo wouldnt gain confidence. He absorbed some very tough body shots, arm shots, and just walked through them all. Any time he got touched on the head, he smirked and let his hands go to steal the play away like a true champion. The crowd went WILD for this fight. This was nothing like the Ghost fight. And Floyd actually looked aggressive. He let his combinations go, he trapped the bigger man on the ropes and pummeled him. It looked like the Cotto fight, except Floyd was waaaay sharper. And this fight was actually more exciting than Danny's fight. That fight was BOORRRRIIINNGGG. People only screamed in the last round. People screamed for Floyd's fight throughout the entire fight starting from that 4th round when Floyd starting picking him apart. Lets not change history! Floyd put on a show because he knew it was a big event. :nono:
Maybe seagulls don't like kids,, they might be too indigestible to eat. And weren't you writing so much about Arum "throwing MannyP under the bus" with his fight against Bradley, and accusing him of having bought the judges........ Now Arum is building Pacquiao up (at the end of his career) by throwing Rios under the bus...... Maybe is isn't boxing this time, but just a "going-away" party....
With over 50 years experience of boxing you should have been able to pick up the difference between facts and prejudices in all that time.
I think you should get your facts right about who is saying what because I never said anything about Bradley or Manny under a bus ,, thats BS .
Thats exactly what Arum is doing , showcasing Manny at the expense of Brandon , and the prize is to make Manny look good and take a low risk back door ticket intro a super fight with JMM or Floyd .
As far as your other post I will finish later and answer your Diuretics and Margos history going into that fight as Im going out , but to save me the exercise , grab an overhead shot of the ring that night , the corner pads will be 30cm wide , now reference that into the ring along one side and see what you get .
And there is your fanboy ; your admitting you dont care that every advantage was held by Manny in that fight , all you care about is somebody getting beat up , same thing with Rios now , Arum is throwing him under the bus also because just like Margo in exile after getting KOed Brandons use by date is also up , and Arum is once again going to showcase Manny in a BS cow to the slaughter deal .
This a 21st century version of when gangsters ran boxing and Al Capone getting a tough game fighter beat to death to build up the next champ , the guy that paid his entry and sitting in the bleachers, he dont know sht , if he wasnt there he be sitting at the beach feeding seagulls with his kids .
This is a brutal sport in and out of the ring , if only knew what goes on .
