Cotto's performance against Floyd - very overrated

Floyd made that cotto fight harder than it really should have been. i think his plan was to make cotto run out of gas late and go for the KO or TKO it almost worked. Not true. Cotto made the fight hard for Floyd. Just because Floyd didnt dominate and win every round doesnt mean it was Floyds fault because of it. Give props where its deserved.

................. Compare this: How was Cotto's performance with May vs. Marquez against May? How was Cotto's performance with May vs. Canelo against May? Marquez was not able to land anything and got really schooled, fact is May made him look amateaur. Canelo landed a few punches but nothing compared to Cotto but yet he was almost awarded a split fight. SMFH!! I say since Castillo, Cotto is the only that has put up a good fight.

Cotto didn't do anything but get his big ass dome beat on (by a variation of right hands from a multitude of angles). Cotto did land a few more punches on Floyd than Floyd is accustomed to, but overall, he was schooled just like the rest. No knock on Cotto though. Floyd is the best, an ATG, future first ballot hall of famer and one of a handful of boxers that can claim GOAT status.

Im very proud of Cotto and how he did in that fight. He done his country, his family and himself proud.

yeah I was there too. people around me thought cotto was robbed. I knew Floyd won but it did seem close. Yup, in person and watching it on TV, there's a huge difference. Nonetheless Money won, major props to Cotto!

Comparatively speaking to Floyd's other recent opposition Cotto's performance is rated just fine. In terms of actually getting close to winning it is probably over rated

I was shaking when the scores were being read. I really thought it was going to be a draw, or a SD. When I flew back home and watched it again I had Money winning a lot more decisive, but at that moment Cotto was looking like he had it, especially with Floyd bleeding from the nose and Floyd back foot pot shottin. We all know how judges can be mislead with a few salient visuals (nosebleed). IMO Cotto gave Money his toughest fight to date. Most agree wide Mayweather UD, but Mayweather was made to earn his check. The scores weren't indicative of the competitiveness of the fight(Relative to the typical Mayweather fight at least).

underrated performance considering he was "shot" for pacquiao. 3 years later, he gave floyd a good fckin fight. if anything floyd's performances are overrated.

Cotto was ale to cut the ring off, and put effective pressure on May better than any of floyds recent opponents. The closest to doing what Cotto did was Ortiz that round he got KOd lol But still Floyd still won clearly and outskilled, outslicked cotto

Cotto did very well. He won some rounds. Some other rounds were very close. He bloodied him up and made him work. Unlike everybody else that Floyd has fought recently, Cotto did not look outclassed.
