Rigo, but if Wlad KOing guys is always nice to see. At least the Leapi wasn't as clinch heavy as Povetkin..
But no one wants to watch a Heavyweight especially the bigger one at that fighting like a damn puss when hes built like The Terminator.
Let me put it this way, I rather watch some of Rigo's amateur or Olympic fights than watch any Wlad jabbing clinchathon.
Rigo is a masterful boxer and a joy to watch.
Really ???
Over a guy with 51 KO.
Rigo is a horrible tv fighter,period...end of thread.
:boxing::boxing::boxing:
Rigo streamed on HBO on April and will in December. Now Wladimir was on HBO 2 years, had a gift past Saturday and probably wont ever be on HBO again.
I don't know how anybody could've thought Rigo's performance against Donaire was boring. That was the best performance of the year imo.
Me either. That was incredibly tense, because both were flinging very hard shots. Knowing either guy could get hurt at any moment was very fun to watch. Very good chessmatch.
I wanted to cry when I watched Klitscho last fight, it was that f'king terrible. Worst thing about it I was trying to convince myself this is the amazing skillful Wladdy.
Rigondeaux is underrated. I've watched couple of his fight I thought he was brilliant because he does go for knockout when the opportunity comes to him. He is quite boring sometime when he goes in full safe mode like he did against Donaire.
Rigo knocks out most the people he fights. He had Donaire running for his life in the last round.
This question is asking which overly defensive fighter I'd rather watch, and the answer is easy for me. I'll watch the guy who moves better, throws a better variety of punches, and doesn't clinch every ten seconds.
I gave Wlad too much credit in this post. He clinches every three seconds when the fighter is any good.
I don't understand. You find Rigo "exciting to watch in most fights," but you thought he "laid a stinker" versus Donaire? That was Guille's masterpiece.
He won big, but he wasn't entertaining doing so. What's so hard to understand about that?
Most of the time Wlad is entertaining to me.

They both usually put on master class fights and stink you out every now and then.
Now, with that said, had Rigo opened up and became exciting against Donaire, they would have probably carried him out on a stretcher.
Both did what they had to do to win comfortably. It was their call to hold on to their straps. So be it.
I find both exciting to watch in most fights.
That said, both laid stinkers in their last fights but won big.

the "runner" Rigo had Donaire running for his life in the 12th.
Sorry, Rigo is a jedi master who takes on guys bigger than him. Wlad uses his huge size advantage.
I honestly can't fathom people picking Wlad over Rigo...
At least Rigo is just a defensive master.. Wlad is a clinch, lean, throw master
When guys get close to Rigo he lets his beautiful footwork come into play and throws lightening fast and powerful straights and uppercuts, not too mention he's a great all round fighter with exceptional bodyshots
When someone gets close to Wlad he throws them to the ground, wrestles and leans on them.. pathetic stuff
Also Wlad is completely one dimensional (when compared to Rigo)
Rigo is amazing to watch.edge of the seat stuff knowing he can blast the guy out and fully comit himself if he lands a big punch
Wlad is a bore,he sometimes jabs and throws his right hand in the air ready to clinch at the exact same time... horrible to watch, and when he does have his opponent hurt he is still cautious.. I'm surpised he has any fans at all

But his KO's come after rounds of leaning and grabbing smaller men when he could brutalize them instead.'
I would rather watch Rigo
