Sorry, but it's true. Khan doesn't deserve the fight but brings money in. I won't be paying for this PPV, but if this fight does happen, I can't really say sh*t because nobody is out there. Don't bring up Top Rank and HBO fighters into this argument. If Mayweather has to fight Khan for now, while Danny is making some noise in the WW division, I wouldn't mind that. Floyd vs Danny right now is too one sided. I am willing to be patient with the Amir Khan fight, if we can get a bigger Floyd vs Danny fight later.
Showtime fighters.....Just no big tough fights out there for floydette.
HBO...TR fighters....a lot of big fights out there for Floydie poo!
Floyd moves to Showtime...

Now that's an atg lineup all welterweight affair, I guess.
You understand boxing and you know how styles work. You may dislike the idea of Khan getting the fight, but anyone can see Garcia's style is made for Floyd to toy with. Boring shut-out, no thanks, watched enough of those.
Khan may or may not get KO'd but he's got the fastest hands in the sport and always in entertaining fights and isn't that why we watch? to be entertained?
Yeah, but conventional wisdom isn't always right. Garcia finds a way to get his. He wasn't supposed to beat Khan, he destroyed him. He wasn't supposed to make it to the 4th round against Lucas, he turned in a great upset. The guy has an x factor that you can't measure.
Now judging by what we know about Khan and Garcia, I'd always say Garcia has a better chance against the supposed best fighter in the sport over someone as mediocre as Khan.

Personally I'd rather watch Pacquiao, Martinez, Golovkin or Thurman but if it's between Khan and Garcia, I at least want to be entertained.
Not gettin at you Bush, but Garcia hasn't even fought above 140 and Matthysse wasn't on any pound for pound lists.
Garcia is better than Khan, but he matches up very poorly stylistically against Mayweather. It would be a horrible one-sided fight and even worse spectacle.
To the OP, don't get it twisted, Floyd has plenty of options, it's just that we know he's unwilling to face most of them (or at least the ones we most want to see).
OK Garcia hasn't fought above 140, so what. He holds the only clear win ever earned against Mattysse. Who besides Danny is no less than the 2nd best fighter at 140.
Meanwhile in Khan's 1st appearance over 140 he gets dropped and wobbled by a faded former lightweight. Now there's simply no way to act like Khan has done better than Garcia in any way, shape, form or fashion.

What don't you guys get ? No casual fans knows who GGG even is. He's not even on Bradley's level of hype in America and that says a lot. The fact you guys even bring him up as a option is a breath waster.
I don't know about that. HBO is pushing Golovkin hard.
Sure sure, except Danny owns a brutal destruction over Khan and all Khan has done above 140 is almost get stopped by a former lightweight while Danny just beat 1 of the best fighters in the world.

Of course there are opponents, but they are too much risk for Floyd. Golovkin and Pacman, those are the fights people would wanna see. Khan, Garcia, Gurrero, Alvarez = lot's of hype no substance.

Would Garcia getting the fight in September be such a bad thing? He could fight in Jan/Feb and then again on the undercard of Mayweather v Khan. I think Guerrero would be a good opponent for that date, if he can dispose of him in good fashion there would be more desire from the casuals for the match up. In the end it would result in Garcia getting more money, all he'd have to do is wait 4 more months and keep winning.
That's a funny thing to imagine, Garcia fighting on the undercard while Khan in the main event. Unless Garcia is ok with waiting in line, I don't see how he doesn't land the Mayweather fight first. There just is nobody out there reasonable and credible besides Garcia and Thurman.
While I agree with you about Khan, not sure Danny Garcia is a bigger fight in Sept. then it is in May. He will probably have one fight at WW between now and fall of next year.
Who can he beat at Welter that make people think he is a serious threat to Floyd?
On merit Garcia deserves a shot after cleaning out 140 and that performance against Lucas, but i don't know what he can do to get anyone outside of us that follow boxing closely to get excited about that fight. Danny is a low key guy and his dad's mouth isn't enough to hype a fight against Floyd IMO...
I agree with you. I would rather see a Floyd vs Danny fight over any Floyd vs anyone fight. As a Philadelphian, if there is anyone I want Floyd to lose to, it's Garcia. But I'm saying, if Khan has to be the sacrificial lamb on May, for us to see a bigger, more credible, Mayweather vs Garcia on Sept? F*ck it...I'll wait. I won't be buying the Mayweather vs Khan PPV.
Fvck that. If Floyd fights Khan in may, then someone like Martinez of GGG better be up next. That's a whole year wasted if Khan gets Floyd. Garcia won't make up for the Khan fight.
