I was just thinking since Mayweather is running out of opponents to fulfill his contract, why doesnt he just fight Cotto again in a rematch of one of his most action packed fights!! imagine the numbers if they staged it in MSG its ppv material.. so why not?!.. what do you guys say?
never mind diaz..........all floyd has to do is move (and not go in purposely llooking to brawl for angry fans sake) & he shuts cotto completely out............he went in there trying to prove a point to the fans in the 1st fight.
the success that cotto had also had a lot to do with mayweather just not moving nearly a much as he usually does. (thats why it's not fair to compare that fight to gurrero and canelo) he didn't throw combinations against those 2. he wasn't looking to out muscle those 2....he moved and easily out witted them.
against cotto he wanted to stand there and out muscle him (which GREATLY helped in cottos favor) in a rematch floyd would fight like floyd and shut him out.........i have little interest in a rematch.
The guys Floyd had most trouble with at 154 were some of his best opponents and HOF/Future Hall of Famer (De La Hoya, Cotto).
No! Nothing against Cotto because he is an alright fighter but he is no longer on top. I would rather see Trout who beat Cotto get a call because he style would be more difficult.
Even though Canelo had his way with Trout, I always thought Trout's southpaw style and counterpunching would have been better against Mayweather than Canelo's, who's style was perfect for Floyd.
Without Pedro Diaz in Cotto's corner, Floyd would beat him easier this time.

Mayweather ant knocking out no one and you know that not even khan
But khan just as or faster then floyed ..and that would be intersting aganst floyed
just look at what julio diaz did to him. diaz is shot to **** with no power. khan will get slumped.
i see this fight happening if cotto looks good vs. rodriguez. it was a good fight and it will sell.
i know most will hate it and i would understand why if he was fighting martinez, ggg, broner or pacquiao instead but he's not.
can khan or garcia do better than cotto? no. will they bring the fight to mayweather like cotto? no. garcia will box and get shut out like canelo. khan will get knocked out.

you can't really expect the same fight from Cotto. He took a beating as well in that fight
Because Cotto looks like he is on the decline. If he would of beat Trout then ok, but he lost almost every round. He needs to impress with Rodriguez and fight and beat a top opponent then we could talk about this fight
