He has a lot of haters due to quitting vs Maidana and letting his emotions take over in the Mayweather fight but let's not forget how many exciting fights he has given us. His fights with Maidana, Lopez and Berto were amazing entertainment. I felt as though he was coming on a bit in the Mayweather fight until he headbutted him, he started going for it a bit.
He could have some great fights at 147, give him a good training camp/a proper trainer (no offence, but I didn't rate Garcia) and I think he can beat nearly anyone at that weight. I was/am looking forward to him VS Khan/Maidana 2/Broner/Garcia etc etc. He has all the physical tools to be a champion usually it's in his head where the problem lies.
I thought he was meant to be coming back when he was training at Roach's Wildcard Gym a while back, but then I've never heard from him in terms of Boxing after that, only saw him on some advertisements. He did have a really bad injury but I would have thought 18 months in, would have fixed it by now, or like 2 years by the time he next fights.
Where is Victor Ortiz?
He quit against maidana and also quit against mayweather.
Massive hype job so who gives a f*** about him
He didn't quit against Mayweather he had a mental lapse and got two pieced. He's a solid fighter who usually makes for good fights. Him vs Then Ghost would be good.
If you look on his Twitter page, it looks like he went on vacation to Hawaii.
Man, looks like he's having a blast.
take a look.

I thought this joke with the palm Tree was gold,
but hey, I can't please everyone.

My feelings exactly...
I say feed him to Thurman though.
I like Ortiz. He has fought in interesting fights and I think he was on his way to go through hell to give Mayweather a tough fight before Mayweather sucker punched him.
I hope he comes back and ends Brandon Rios career
bwhahaha i would love that fight! rios would make that punk quit on his stool after the first round. ortiz needs to get some wins under his belt. maybe he can go life and death with peterson in a rematch, beat the nearest hype job, broner? not even sure he's capable of that and maybe just maybe he can get a career high payday versus the cashcow to be Brandon BAM BAM Rios.

How can any serious boxing fan think Ortiz was on his way to giving Mayweather hell? He was getting ****ing tooled in that fight, got flustered and quit. In the third round Mayweather land an ungodly number of his punches. Ortiz only had success roughhousing for about 20 seconds, he was well on his way to a mid or late stoppage in that fight.

Victor is a "stupid" fighter and a quitter, he will never be an elite fighter. That said, the kid has physical tools and has shown glimpses of having balls, so he might provide us with a few more entertaining fights. I wouldn't pick him against most top guys @ WW, though.
Probably a good idea for him to be getting into acting. I don't think he'll be able to keep himself relevant in boxing for much longer.
That guy is such a ****ing klutz, this is the same guy who had such a boring ass personality and said "I am a tree" on 24/7, I have no idea how he is in advertisements and got into acting. He is like the latino Keanu Reeves.
facelube c'mon it's obvious.
Victor Ortiz is a lot like David haye, a few years from now I can totally hear him say something along the lines of ' I've had sex with 20 women and 200 guys'
