Ill explain why Floyd is more likely to go for a KO/TKO here.

People act like a knockout HAS to be a Marquez/Pacquiao style single shot. The thread says TKO which is a very realistic possibility if Canelo tires out and Floyd puts his foot on the pedal. 1. Ego. Canelo is being touted as a guy that has a bigger fan base than him, and a potentially bigger cash cow than him. When was the last time someone said that, honestly? I mean people have their laughs on here but when has it been seriously posed that a guy is as big a star or a potentially bigger star than Floyd, aside from ODH, Pac, and Gatti way back when? He's going to want to prove his supremacy and won't be satisfied with a decision win. Canelo refusing the belt pic just sealed his fate. Floyd will punish this kid. 2. Business. Canelo is a young, marketable kid. If the fight is at all close, Floyd could get robbed. And that hurts his bottom line. People can say it won't, that the rematch will be very lucrative, but Floyd's 0 is worth more to him. He has to make this not close, in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he feels he has to take it out of the judges hands. 3. Sharpness. With less time between his last fight and the added motivation of the previous two factors on his training, he will be crisper and faster than ever before in recent memory, he will be very sharp, probably the best version of Floyd we've seen in years. 4. In the last all access the most telling moment was how much starch Floyd was putting on his body shots in training in the end of the episode. He will go to the body hard. Thats in his plan. Now for Nelo's side... 5. Stamina. Canelo gasses late, this is something he struggles with. He fights in spurts. Mayweather is one of the most exhausting fighters to fight in the world. Constantly making you miss, and constantly making you think, and gradually sapping all of your energy and will to win. guys that are tired don't defend nearly as well either. 6. weight. He put his body through the ringer to reach 152... he is a big 154 lber as it is. Guys that cut a lot of weight are vulnerable to the body. Good chance of a tko in the latter half of the fight... i said pretty much everything you said here to friends the other day, if floyd comes as sharp as he usually does theres a huge chance floyd stops him i just pray he doesnt hurt his hand early or anything

Floyd wont go for a KO, he almost never does. If the opportunity is there, he'll def take it but he wont go out of his way to stop Canelo. Saying that, i think floyd will stop him, Canelo will take long breaks and that will be made worse by being so confused by floyd. Nothing fcuks with you more than being frustrated

Mayweather talks a good game but his fragile hands are not koing Canelo. He might pepper him all night but no power to ko

If 'Nelo is very obviously gassing badly towards the end, Floyd might open up a bit, but it just ain't his style to take the risk and let it hang out against a bigger, stronger guy.

I think the size and power of Canelo mean that he's a threat until the end. If Floyd gets the opportunity to KO him, he'll go for it. Otherwise who knows what will happen later in the fight?

He wont punch with Canelo, but will take advantage of Canelo's lack of stamina, and habit of backing off and taking long breaks without throwing anything. He may attempt to land big shots late in the fight, but if Canelo is still throwing, Floyd will not risk getting tagged. Its all about the win for Floyd, he doesnt need the drama or a tko to impress.

Knocking out an undefeated 23 year-old Mexican would be ****ing huge. Can't see it though.

i can see canelo being buckled by those laser-like right leads late in the fight, but mayweather will be too cautious to commit to finishing him.

the last time Floyd knocked down a fighter was a face first fighter which is Ricky Hatton and he didn't even knocked him out cold. so no way he knocks Canelo out. although he'd still win. He did KO someone after that with the help of some firm but fair referee.

Unless Floyd somehow goes full tard like Pac did then that won't be happening. :dance: Some people can't help talking about other fighters, hope same people be reminded that it's floyd-canelo fight tomorrow although there's a more exciting fight which I think will end in a 6TH round KO.
