It's funny that this picture has equaled to the Khan-Alexander winner being Mayweather's next opponent :lol1:
That's definitely possible but I think tommorows fight is the first choice.
Which ever one isn't the opponent will likely have another fight with another top contender before their fight with Floyd, if it happens.
Thurman's probably in that mix.
I'd have Floyd fight the winner of Garica-Matthysse and have the winner of Alexander-Khan fight Thurman.
If I'm not mistaken Khan was supposed to be the prize for the 140 gbp tournament. Hence he should be facing the winner of Garcia vs Matthysse first.
Maybe they've changed their plans, if Khan and Mayweather both win their next fight and Khan fights the winner of Garcia vs Matthysse, there would be nobody for Mayweather. I don't think he'd fight Thurman at this stage, and also Pac and Bradley seem to be out of question.
If Alexander wins though I can see Garcia or Matthysse taking a Khan fight as a set up at 147, while Alexander fights Mayweather in a unification bout.
The winner of Garcia vs Lucas wud have to have at least one fight at 147 before getting in the ring with Floyd, you'd want them to have somewhat of a chance at the weight
Khan vs Devon winner then followed by a fight out of whoever won Lucas vs Garcia
I fully disagree about that. We're not talking moving up to fight normal sized welterweights who end up near 160 or over on fight night. Just like Pac, Mayweather barely weighs above the limit on fight night. Normally when a guy moves up to get used to weight, it's because they'll be fighting bigger guys, but Matthysse and Garcia are the same size as Mayweather, Garcia may even be bigger. They can weigh in at whatever the hell they want in between 141 and 147 and it won't be a disadvantage.

PUDGY??
I agree he looked like crap fighting Floyd but most do. Not to mention Floyd has him outclassed in every skill in boxing. not taking anything away from marquez who is amazing. but styles make mights. But he was far from pudgy
It was the worst I have ever seen him look. He did not look good at all at that weight, but it was a hell of a jump to make without having a few fights to get used to the weigh, so what do you expect? He looks a damn sight better phyically now than he did back then, thats for sure.
Yeah and looked pudgy and fought like crap.:dunce:

Floyd is trying to make the most money possible
There aren't many boxers who offer him that,
Canelo rematch - (if Floyd loses)
Khan in the England (if he beats Devon)
Lucus/Garcia winner
Sergio end of 2014
Broner if he can put 2 decent wins together
there are a lot of if's involved, but I don't see how else Floyd cud earn large %
There is Pacman and Bradley (if he beats JMM) but Arum and Floyd will never agree to anything
I can see Bradley if he beats marquez. Bradley deserves the shot more than anyone else. And he doesn't demand as much money. He will take a alverez type deal probably much less. I think he would fight Floyd for 5 million. If Bradley beats marquez his resume would be above everyone elses. Manny at the time was demanding as much as Floyd. on top of the issues with Floyd and arum. If arum takes a step back then we can possibly have a fight. but manny has to string up some wins get his name back out there. Give manny to broner. If manny beats broner that set up Floyd and manny again but manny has to take whatever deal Floyd gives him. he can say I know how to beat your style and all this and that. If broner beats manny that would set up broner vs Floyd big time. id say Floyd retire off that or fight Martinez if he is still middleweight champion and go for his 6th title.
khan/alexander winner has no 'pull'.... alexander has 0 appeal, no notable fanbase out of st louis..... at least khan has the british angle.... but floyd has more british fans than khan....
putting matty and danny on the undercard, giving them that exposure.... makes them the obvious next choice.... cos the 2.2 mill who watch, will see that fight.... and become instant fans, so they're twice more likely to purchase a ppv featuring that fighter and floyd....
a casual fan, will think of it like.... "that guy who had that awesome ko is fighting floyd next, he might ko floyd"
they don't know the science, but they'll equate one to the other.
That sounds about right. especially if lucas comes out looking like a monster. People already saying Floyd would never fight him and he can beat Floyd lol. but I can see that happening.
He better not fight the Khan-Alexander winner next instead of Matthysse/Garcia.
lucas and Garcia would have to settle into welter first. plus Floyd has more fights. if he fights winner of khan vs devon in may then fights the winner of Garcia vs lucas in sept(after one wins their welter fight) that would be perfect.
I think both, especially Garcia, should be fighting at 147 anyways. I'm dreading the thought of Floyd fighting Khan/Alexander, hope they match that winner up with Broner/Maidana instead.

kahn looks like he is a littel girl seeing her favorit boyband artist up close, Ward looks like he wants rip floyd apart and use his blood as a moisturizer
The winner of Garcia vs Lucas wud have to have at least one fight at 148 before getting in the ring with Floyd, you'd want them to have somewhat of a chance at the weight
Khan vs Devon winner then followed by a fight out of whoever won Lucas vs Garcia

Maybe if Alexander wins then Thurman makes sense. Not if Khan wins. Floyd says he wants to fight in the UK and he would definitely make more money fighting khan than Garcia, matthysse or Alexander with sky PPV .
Plus, it would be a unification fight.
out of all those named I think Kahn would make the best fight and have the best shot at winning and if they fought in england it would likely be the biggest payday too
Khan wouldn't even see the 6th round, don't fool yourself. It would be the biggest payday out of the bunch, but Khan is destined to get ko'd again before a Floyd fight even generates (little) interest.
Matthysse is the only guy who can make it interesting against Floyd. Thurman and Broner for 2015 sound like good options to me if they remain undefeated.

Maidana is gonna decapitate broner, and he'll be in the Mayweather sweepstakes too for doing that. May will wanna avenge his little bro.
i would like to see the garcia matthysee winner go on to fight floyd,
but i think he will want to fight khan if he wins alexanrder,
can see the fight happening in england,
because thats where he said he'd like to fight one day
and i think if he comes to england he will a massive payday...
