uh, are you forgetting?
didnt he smash BIG ASS iran barkley for the title at 160 in the 80s LOL
buddy was a monster... doubt GGG could hang with durans skill at any weight
oh but the question was would duran have balls to fight him... loololololol he fought monsters bigger and better than GGG
I said OF COURSE he would fight GGG but I still stand by what I posted before, Duran wasn't at his best at 160
The best Duran and the Duran that is rated as a All Time Great is the 130-135 Duran
I could not believe my eyes when I saw the thread title. I was expecting a joke in post number 1. The guy is serious. I'm banning myself from this thread.
Yes, I think Duran would fight him and he would get KOed in my opinion. Duran fought Hearns, Hagler, Leonard, and Barkley.Duran would fight just about anybody.
He already went the distance with the greatest MW ever " Hagler "
wait.. lets not forget it was FIFTEEN rounds with hagler lol
i think golovkin would duck this fight
of course he would have. He fought Hagler who was a beast....Hearns was just a terrible matchup for Duran cause of his length. GGG isn't that tall.
or fast or skilled

So what would you want a fat man to do? Retire?
duran had four balls, his and bucanon's. I there is anyone with balls its duran lightweight king for years moves up and fights with some of the best ever even though he is undersized and overwieght.
It didn't matter whether he was out of shape or not, he was willing to fight anyone. I think his willingness to fight the best and even go out of his comfort zone to do so was Ali-like. Very few would put themselves in that kind of size disadvantage. Lets remember Duran was at his best at 135.
at his best, and perhaps the best ever at the weight.
Duran would have fought a Jungle Lion.....he was afraid of no man. But mentioning GGG at this time in the same breath is out of place. In that case mention Hopkins, Martinez, and other more proven fighters. GG is a new face still and has yet to prove himself. But Duran would have fought anyone.
