i did say last night when i posted that beltran deserved to win, but i gave credit to burns for showing real heart, to be fair now looking at that x ray the credit i give him for his heart has increased, shows hes got bottle!

No issues with Burns However fact is Beltran got screwed Burns corner should have called it quits soon as he started mentioning his jaw hurts No they shouldn't. They thought it was dislocated, and he really only complained with 4 rounds left. He still had a chance at that stage, and if he felt like continuing, he should. After all, he's a world champion.

Yup Burns is done with boxing for 2013. Probably start back in training early 2014.

Could it spell the end for Burns? a mate of mine just broke his jaw after being concussed three times in the past three weeks. he has to have surgery tommorow and a plate put into his jaw. they said that because of his jaw plus his his recent concussions he can never fight again because of the, what the docter said, 70% chance of dieing due to internal bleeding. feel extremely sorry for the bloke and hope he comes through well

3 months out. Before he can start sparring, he might take a little longer. To think someone here called him a coward last night... Smh

Question the reffing and judges decision all you want but you can't deny that Burns was a warrior for continuing that fight with a ****ed up jaw like that. Burns gained a ton of respect from me last night. This. Having said that, I doubt it happened in the 2nd round as the Burns camp have stated....the first time I noticed him mention it was to his corner around the 9th round? Although it may've been troubling him before that....not sure. Either way, he's a warrior and has a lot of heart but it doesn't excuse the poor ref and judges.

This is what you call heart, puts the likes of Ortiz to shame. And Burns gave a full interview afterwards lol Pplus he got up from a heck of a KD after that injury and took more hooks for the remainder of the fight. Warrior!

Yikes. And Beltran put him over with flush left hook to an already fucked jaw. You can criticize the ref and the judges but there is no way Burns can be questioned. He was living a bit of a nightmare in there last night. He was getting his face punched off.
