This card should be called terrible matchmaking. You don't put a glass chin fighter against a ironed chinned man.
I don't know what the hell Mitchell's management was thinking.
Some?
The last guy he fought lost for the third time by consecutive knockout.
This is a guy who was at his best maybe seven years ago, and even then had an iffy chin. After he won the WBO strap Shannon Briggs old asthmatic ass knocked him out and took it.
Yeah Briggs knocked him out the ring without even hitting him.

Sadly, I though Arreola woul dwin a UD. Figured Mitchell would go down at some point but survive the distance....Arreola came prepared and did what he had to do. I was a big supporter of him like 2 years ago but his laziness had me feeling like he was a lost cause.....this Arreola is what I expected him to be. I know Mitchell is an iffy opponent but I thin Arreola now sees and has had the benefit of learning from hard work.
Some guys get by because of there natural abilities or experience but slack off in preparations for an event, which fits Arreola to a tee. I hope he sees now that when you put in the time, you will usually turn out fine.
please tell me you didn't bet this.
Until he eats one solid right hand and has to get up off the canvas. Wilder's power is too much for almost anyone....when you have power like that, it overrides almost all other detriments.
arreola has an amazing chin. i wouldn't expect him to go down as easily as the rest of the wilder opponents.
I think that's a bit of an exaggeration of Wilder's power. Doesn't Wilder have a questionable chin? I think it would be an exciting and short fight.
Arreola
6 foot-3 inches, 76 inch reach
Wilder
6 foot-7 inches, 84 inch reach
Vitali
6 foot-7, 79 inch reach
I'm not saying that Wilder doesn't have a suspect chin but look at his (Arreola's) fight with Vitali...he would be facing an even bigger man, with a TON of power who has an 8 inch reach advantage. Not to mention has improved over his last couple of fights...it's just going to be VERY hard for him to get on the inside and that leverage is nothing to ignore. Anything is possible but Wilder has a lot of advantages on his side.
As to the power issue....I mean he has fought some "cans" but 29-0, 29 KO's...I'm not seeing too much exaggeration there honestly.
Such an obvious outcome.
Who didn't expect this?

Seth needs to retire. You can't be a heavyweight with no chin. Cunningham would probably knock him out maybe even Scott.
Paulie Malignaggi would KO Seth Mitchell
thanks for reminding me time to delete that post and my 500 other posts where i predict ko 1 and they never happen.
Not sure if I believe you, which daggum is this?

Arreola would be the one pushing the pace though. Wilder needs to load up when he throws his right hand, he can't throw it moving backwards. Wilder has also been knocking out bums, and fighters with no chin, I think Arreola's chin is good enough to eat some of those punches.
First to land a big shot wins??
Not really, Wilder's jab is like an Arreola flush right hook. The guy can crumple you with a glancing blow plus he would have massive leverage over Chris...anything can happen but I don't like Arreola's odds in that fight.
Saving face for your great call on the Marquez fight I see.
